Alright guys, this is as good as our weekly wrap-up is going to get 🤣 blame our socials girl for leaving us unattended.

Massive week for the boys in Lismore getting stuck into Stage 1 of the Lismore Courthouse infrastructure upgrade for the NSW Government.

We’ve landed the 220kVA generator and 5,500-litre fuel cell, pulled in all the 150mm² XLPE incoming supply, completed all the cable tray works, plus all the generator power, lighting and controls.

Everything’s tested, commissioned and ready for the outage next week.

Massive effort from the boys getting all that smashed out in only four days.

And special shoutout to Jackson for thinking he could outdrink me on the red w**e last night…

Stage 1 – Lismore Courthouse Infrastructure Upgrade ⚡️

Backup power infrastructure upgrade for the NSW Government.

A massive amount achieved in just 4 days onsite:

220kVA backup generator landed and positioned
5,500L fuel cell landed and positioned
150mm² XLPE incoming supply pulled in
Cable tray works completed
Generator control cabling and interlocks completed
Generator power, lighting & emergency lighting fitted off
DB completed and ready for outage
Main switchboard ready to be craned into position next week

Massive effort from the boys to get Stage 1 wrapped up in only four days. Plenty of work behind this one and a great result from the team. ⚡️💪

Canterbury Aquatic & Leisure Centre ⚡️

Big week on site getting the car park lighting & EV infrastructure project ready for asphalt on Monday.

All underground works completed, EV infrastructure installed and all light pole piers poured and ready for installation. 💪🏼

The boys absolutely killed it this week getting everything over the line and keeping the project moving. 👏🏼

Next up — poles, lighting and fit-off. ⚡️

We have been MIA recently with a few big jobs underway but we’re back on the gram 💪🏽

Massive Ausgrid outage wrapped up in one day ⚡️go boys!

With our client’s renovation getting too close to the existing bare overhead network, an Ausgrid outage was required to increase clearances and make the network safe and compliant.

Due to the new 2.2m offset crossarms, the existing network poles couldn’t accommodate the additional loading and 3 poles required replacement.

The works included:

⚡️ Replacement of 3 Ausgrid network poles
⚡️ Installation of new 2.2m offset crossarms
⚡️ 5 bays of 2 x 95mm² ABC aerial mains
⚡️ Installation of 3 x new link boxes
⚡️ 1 x new substation connection
⚡️ 1 x paper lead to 185mm² copper joint for the new UG/OH connection
⚡️ 28 x new overhead service lines, with the existing services unable to reach the new network heights
⚡️ Full outage, changeover, testing and energisation
⚡️ Road reinstated and hotmixed ready for traffic

A massive amount of work planned, coordinated and completed within a single outage day.

Huge thank you to the boys at Infinite Energy for assisting us with the line work and helping get this one across the line. Great effort from everyone involved getting all 28 services reconnected, the network back online and the road reopened in one day. 👊⚡️

Our favourite day of the week !! North Head is getting close to the finish line⚡️

Another huge milestone reached, with all civil works, cable hauling, cable tray installations and submain reticulation now complete. The project is now awaiting switchboard delivery and the scheduled Ausgrid outage before we can complete the final installation, testing and commissioning.

Proud of the team’s effort on this one, stay tuned for the final switchboard install and energisation. 👊

Another big week on site at North Head delivering critical electrical infrastructure upgrades for the NSW Government. ⚡️

This week the team completed major cable hauling and cable tray installation works, including:

• Installation of new 240mm² XLPE consumer mains, with all cables now terminated and ready at the Ausgrid substation for the upcoming outage.
• New 400A direct distributor from the Ausgrid substation to the new Main Switchboard.
• Approximately 200m of new 400A submains installed beneath the roadway to the new Main Distribution Board.
• Infrastructure now in place to energise three new 160A Distribution Boards servicing the mechanical services, commercial kitchen, and general lighting & power.

From civil works through to Level 1 & Level 2 ASP services and commercial electrical infrastructure, this project highlights the capability of the DM Electrical team from start to finish.

A huge effort from the boys once again!! The project is progressing well, and we’re looking forward to the upcoming Ausgrid outage and commissioning.

⚡ Major Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade Complete ⚡

Another complex infrastructure project successfully delivered by the DM Electrical team.

This site presented a number of challenges, with the existing installation consisting of an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) arrangement fed directly from 2 × 800A Ausgrid supplies from separate substations.

The original installation had several critical issues, including:
• No Service Protection Devices (SPDs) protecting the incoming supplies.
• No isolation point for safe maintenance on the Main Switchboard (MSB) downstream.
• An incomplete original installation.
• Essential services supplied via an unmetered arrangement.

Our scope involved a 16-hour planned shutdown to safely remove the existing ATS Main Switchboard and install a brand-new system while maintaining the integrity of the building’s electrical infrastructure.

The upgrade included:
⚡ New ATS Main Switchboard
⚡ 2 × 800A incoming circuit breakers complete with Service Protection Devices (SPDs)
⚡ 3 × 630A outgoing circuit breakers supplying the existing Essential, Non-Essential and Unmetered Tenant switchboards
⚡ 2 × new CT metering compartments with new utility metering for the site
⚡ Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) for seamless changeover to the secondary Ausgrid supply in the event of a loss of Supply 1
⚡ Extensive internal busbar modifications to integrate the new switchboard with the existing electrical distribution system.

A highly technical project requiring detailed planning, precise ex*****on and flawless coordination to complete within the shutdown window.
