Hanflow regularly maintains the plumbing systems at multiple City Cave locations across Sydney, anything from repairing leaks to clearing salt blocked pipework.
To minimise disruption, much of this work is carried out at late night or in the early mornings to help ensure these facilities continue operating seamlessly for their clients 💧

Commercial kitchens generate heavy grease build up within drainage systems, making regular maintenance essential. Preventative jetting helps reduce unexpected blockages, costly downtime and disruptions to business operations.

🏟️ Penrith Stadium Redevelopment | Western Sydney

Construction is well underway at Penrith Stadium, with Hanflow Plumbing delivering the lower bowl and field of play collector main civil stormwater drainage works.

Being part of a major Tier 1 project in our own backyard is something we’re incredibly proud of. It’s rewarding to contribute to a venue that will become a lasting part of the Western Sydney community for many years to come.

⚡ Flyers Creek Wind Farm Substation 🌬️

completed remediation and additional plumbing to the Flyers Creek Wind Farm Substation, supporting one of regional NSW’s largest renewable energy stations. This substation collects electricity generated by the surrounding wind turbines before it is transformed and transmitted into the NSW power grid, supplying enough renewable energy to power around 80,000 Australian homes.

Our scope on this site included:
• Sewer drainage
• Pressure sewer systems
• Potable water services
• Hot water systems
• Septic systems
• Drainage remediation
• CCTV pipe inspections
• Trenchless pipe relining

Working within a live substation required detailed planning, strict safety procedures and close coordination with all contractors on site to safely complete the works while maintaining site operations.

One of the things we pride ourselves on is leaving every site looking as though we were never there with remediation works, our goal is to deliver a finished product that blends seamlessly into the existing infrastructure

Dinawan Substation ⚡

Recently completed Tier 1 civil and plumbing works at Dinawan Substation, Australia’s largest transmission project.

This substation links the NSW, Victoria and South Australia power grids for the first time, feeding new solar and wind power into the national grid.

This site was a Fully off grid site (own bistro, gym, pub etc) made for a solid stretch of remote works.

Our scope for this project included:

- Internal & external sewer and stormwater drainage
- Sewer septic tank and absorption systems
- Water tanks and site wide stormwater management
- Amenities and supporting infrastructure

Parraweena Reserve – stormwater main and water service excavation and install. This job threw some challenges at us with asbestos contaminated soil requiring full PPE (P2 respirators, disposable coveralls), exclusion zones, air monitoring, and strict disposal protocols to keep the crew and public safe. On top of that, solid rock meant rock breaking before we could even think about laying pipe. Challenging site, but the boys handled it properly from start to finish ✅

🔧 Backflow Prevention Testing – RPZD Compliance ✅
We got called out to carry out testing on the RPZDs (Reduced Pressure Zone Devices) at this site to confirm the assembly is operating to standard.
Why it matters: RPZDs stop contaminated water from flowing backwards into the clean drinking water supply — critical on commercial sites with fire systems, irrigation, or other connections that could introduce contamination. water authorities require these devices to be tested annually by a licensed plumber to stay compliant.
Not the most glamorous part of plumbing, but one of the most important for protecting public health and keeping sites compliant.
