🎥 Behind the Design: Meet the Architects Behind Maroubra

Every great build starts with thoughtful design and our Maroubra project is a great example of what happens when architecture and construction work hand in hand.

We caught up with Jo Gillies, Director and Founder of Archisoul Architects and Jason, Senior Architect, to chat about the journey behind this unique project, the challenges they had to solve, and some of the architectural features they’re most excited to see come to life.

From working with the home’s existing P&O character to finding clever ways to bring more natural light into the home while maintaining privacy, there’s a lot of thought behind what you see taking shape on site.

Big progress happening at our Maroubra project 👷‍♂️🔨

Since our last update, the team has been moving across multiple fronts from fabricating the new staircase on-site and installing DecoClad through the upper level and eaves, to getting the home ready for gyprock.

Frame straightening is complete, electrical and plumbing rough-ins are wrapped up, and rendering is well underway while the scaffold is still in place. We’ve also opened up the existing garage and installed new structural steel to make room for a larger garage door.

It’s all coming together beautifully, and we’re getting closer to seeing the finishes take shape.
