Clear communication is the foundation of a strong team. When we talk openly and listen well, we work better together.

Andrew recently represented Willowdene at Sydney's Build Your Future Trades Expo, collaborating with Programmed to showcase a variety of trades and rewarding career pathways.

Our activity was called the โ€˜Blind Build Challengeโ€™.

Teams of either 2 or 3 were required to build a house by communicating with a builder who was blind folded. The key to the activity was recognising that constructive and clear communication is key to ensuring projects come together.

Team Willowdene joined over 140 people on Friday night, bedding down outdoors and enduring the cold to raise funds for people facing homelessness and housing stress.

Quietly, they didn't do too badly in Home Sweet Trivia either ๐Ÿ˜‰

HOME SWEET have raised $252,985 so far for people in our communities experiencing hardship.

Donations provide young people with vital support services, help establish new shelters for women in need, and support residents in community housing to pursue scholarships and opportunities to improve their lives.

On Friday, 7 August, Willowdene will take part, and some of our Management will be swapping a warm bed for a sleeping bag and a makeshift shelter at the Sydney International Regatta Centre for Link Wentworth's Home Sweet 2026 charity sleepout.

Your donations will go so far in assisting the most vulnerable people in our communities with housing, supports and education.

Providing refreshments on the day, Kevin and Bryan enjoyed an impressive performance by Kadul, who captivated tenants, employees, partners and contractors alike.

They also had the pleasure of meeting Evolve resident Todd and enjoying his impactful Didgeridoo performance. Todd's talent, positive attitude, and great spirit made a lasting impression on them.

Willowdene Constructions continues to support Evolves' Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), with Bryan joining the RAP working group, which creates opportunities to learn, connect, and strengthen relationships with First Nations communities.

Joined by the Hon. Chris Bowen, Minister for Climate Change and Energy, and Councillor Diane Colman from Cumberland Council, Bryan was presented with a framed memento by David Apps, President of Greystanes FC. At Willowdene Constructions, weโ€™re committed to supporting our community and helping children develop both essential life skills and have fun along the way. We had the pleasure of meeting with the Evolve Housing team to present our contribution of 30 childrenโ€™s bike helmets. These were used in their Bikes & Brakes workshop, a hands-on program designed to teach essential biking skills.
