We recently completed another insulation upgrade in Dubbo, NSW, helping another homeowner transform their roof cavity the right way. 💪

This property had old loose-fill (blow-in) insulation that had reached the end of its life. Our team carefully vacuumed out the existing insulation, thoroughly cleaned the roof cavity, and prepared it for a brand-new installation.

Here’s a look at another roof cavity we’ve transformed.

When we arrived, the roof had old ceiling insulation batts… and sitting on top of those batts was loose-fill insulation. 🤔 We still don’t know whose idea it was to install loose-fill over insulation batts! 😂

Instead of taking shortcuts, our team carefully removed every layer of insulation, ensuring the roof cavity was cleaned properly and prepared for its next stage.

Tomorrow we’ll be returning to Supply & Install Knauf Earthwool R 6.0 (275mm thickness), giving this home the thermal performance, comfort and energy efficiency it deserves.

How we install polyester underfloor insulation 👇

A quality installation is about more than just putting insulation under the floor.

✅ We start at one end of the home and install each roll in one continuous strip from front to back wherever possible. This helps eliminate joins and reduces gaps that can lead to heat loss.

✅ Each roll is pushed firmly up against the underside of the flooring before being securely stapled to the joists.
