𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝-𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 😉

For National Team Day, the whole UC crew came together at Q Station Manly (on the party bus, naturally).

We kicked off with yoga and meditation led by the one and only Emilie Waiss, with an incredible backdrop.

Then mentalist Xavier Crow took us through a body language workshop. We’ve been analysing each other ever since (heaven forbid you touch your face mid-conversation). After his afternoon show, we’re convinced mind-reading is very real. 🤯

With our 10th anniversary around the corner, we may have cooked up a surprise we can’t talk about (yet).

We wrapped up with sunset drinks over the harbour, before hopping back on the party bus for round two…
Days like this remind us how lucky we are to have this team 💛

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝟐 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 🙌

Kincoppal Stages 1 & 2 are officially complete ✅

Stage 1: A Bali-inspired pool glow-up with blue pebble glass, limestone pavers and brass-detailed glass balustrades. The harbour views do the rest.

Stage 2: A brand-new gym, spa, lift, yoga studio and more, built on the harbour foreshore with very limited access.

🏗️ Add a steel-reinforced retaining wall, a crane-lifted micro piling rig and 58 piles plunging 5 metres deep, and you've got one seriously strong build.

But the real strength was above the surface: the people. Coffee and cookies at every PCG meeting ☕🍪, an invite to the opening ceremony and a client who asked for our dream team by name.

𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫? 𝐍𝐚𝐡, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐑 𝐔 𝐎𝐊? 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝!

On the day, our team wore yellow and came together across our sites and offices to talk about what we're grateful for.

🎨 We got arty
🧁 We had a generous sugar hit
🦺 We checked in with our trade partners, a huge part of the UC family
🥊 And we've brought back team sports for laughs, endorphins and time together

Small things like these build trust and make it easier to ask the question and mean it.

𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 | 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝟏 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚

We have partnered with Sydney Catholic Schools, and they've trusted us with a big one.

Underground, this project runs deep and is complex. We'll be commencing with hundreds of metres of inground trenching for new services infrastructure, plus a substation upgrade that will need a full day shutdown (you know we love shutdown ).

Building D is next in line for a complete strip out and fitout. What's currently the library will become the new base for admin staff. We're not holding back above ground either with 65 piles, two sets of concrete stairs and two access ramps going in. This is all engineered around the site's protected scribbly gum tree (a lot easier said than done).

This is Phase 1 of a much bigger plan for the school and we're stoked to be the ones kicking it off! We are working with a strong team, Giorgia Drudi Howard from Sydney Catholic Schools, Mikaela Heidrich from Currie & Brown, plus Woods Bagot, JHA Consulting Engineers & ADP Consulting, and Urbis Australia | Cistri Singapore 𝘈𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘞𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘴 𝘉𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘵.

This project feels fitting off the back of Dominique Gill's recent talk to 250 students at Southern Cross Catholic College. It's a reminder that the relationships we build in education are building its future workforce too.

BROOKI's pink is unmistakable. Delivering our recent project at Broadbeach, QLD meant getting the finish as sharp as the branding demands. There's nowhere to hide with a colour like that (in the best way). 🩷

So when the cookie boxes made their way to the Urban Core offices including NSW, the team knew exactly what they were looking at before opening the lid. Several hundred kilometres from site, and we couldn't be happier (they didn't stand a chance against this office)!

Thank you Lance Yuen at Beyond Bayside Project Management and BROOKI, we LOVE partnerships that travels further than the job site. 😉🍪

𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢

I'm sure many of you have heard of the viral BROOKI. When it came to creating another location, we wanted in (and a taste of what everyone's talking about). 🍪

It’s so nice to finally share what our QLD team has been up to, we’ve been holding this secret in since the project was awarded. Brooki’s first of several flagship stores to come.

We gave a blank tenancy the full Brooki treatment, iconic pink and vibrant branding. This complete fitout involved extensive services upgrades, including new in-slab hydraulic services and ceiling modifications, carefully sequenced so tiling could keep moving.

We installed bespoke joinery throughout, laid custom stonework in premium marble across the front service area and main baking zone. Glazed the partitions so customers can keep watching the work happen (not just on a feed), all behind a shopfront that’s hard to miss. 🩷

A compressed programme and late-stage design changes meant the QLD team had to think fast and stay flexible. Watching everyone pull together and successfully hand over a high-quality outcome like this is a special kind of satisfying.

Hats off to our QLD team Lauren King, Rodney Kemp, David Bright, Grace Sancataldo & Peter Hunt. And a big thanks to the team at Beyond Bayside Project Management Project Management and CLUI DESIGN. Now go get yourself a cookie!

𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 | 𝐍𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞, 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚!

Our VIC team is proud to be delivering an expansion of the gymnasium facilities, so you guessed it... we are back in a live education space. This project will consist of staged works while the school keeps running and while we continue to do what we 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞.

Working alongside Cotter Reid Architects and the broader consultant team, there's plenty to juggle. From controlled access and detailed site separation through to programmed high-impact works and ongoing check-ins with the college team, strong communication is what holds it all together.

There's also a lot happening within the existing building footprint with architectural, structural and building services all coming together in the space. And because the doors stay open throughout, being reactive just doesn't cut it. Close attention and constant review are built into every step of delivery.

Knowing that this will support the college's growing student and sporting community makes this one special.

And hey, if any of Nazareth's students are watching... construction's not a bad career path. 😉

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 🤩

This morning we got to watch it happen again, cheering on our leader, Dominique Gill, at the inaugural Female Leadership in Apartment Management Excellence (FLAME) Event in Martin Place.

We love watching Dom speak, the same Dom on a panel as the one we see in the office and on site. She brings her whole self to it. And every time (and there have been a lot of times) she finds a fresh story to tell. This morning it was the idea that in a world racing toward AI, our emotions are the 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫.

She also came back to one of our values, 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞. Quoting author Ryan Holiday, she described every setback as a gift you have to unwrap, the learning is always sitting there in the middle.

We never get sick of hearing how she looked at an industry with few women on site and decided something had to change. Proud of you Dom, we 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 supporting you.
