Chalouhi is pleased to announce the successful completion of our shoring and bulk excavation package at Padstow, delivered alongside our valued client, Coplex.

This key early-works stage has prepared the site for a landmark eight-storey mixed-use development, featuring ground-floor commercial space and 113 affordable housing residences.

Key Scope Delivered:
• Bulk Excavation: 13,586 m³
• Piling Works: 807 LM
• Capping Beam: 215 LM
• Shotcrete Application: 772 m² (including a high-productivity 180 m² single-day pour)
• Detailed Excavation: 100% Complete

Executing on a restricted urban footprint presented distinct operational challenges. Through proactive sequencing, adaptive traffic control, and precise logistics, our project team overcame tight access and site constraints to deliver the full scope on schedule.

Early works are progressing rapidly at our Surry Hills project site, showcasing Chalouhi’s ability to execute complex civil engineering within a highly constrained Sydney CBD environment alongside our valued client, Hickory Group.

Operating on a compact 825m² footprint directly adjacent to Central Station, this project leaves zero room for error. Through innovative engineering, effective stakeholder management, and sheer operational agility, our team has successfully navigated major plant coordination and ongoing design changes to lock in critical milestones:

• Boundary Stabilisation Works – 100% Complete
• Temporary Soil Nail & RHS Retaining Solution – Successfully Implemented
• Shoring Piles – 100% Complete

With these foundational stages secured, we are maintaining this powerful momentum as the project delivery team transitions into foundation piling. We are proud to deliver these critical early works seamlessly for the Hickory team as we continue pushing towards the next milestones.

The Wahroonga project has showcased the absolute resilience and engineering expertise of the Chalouhi team.

We have completed and handed over the complex external civil stormwater and roadworks to the public. Navigating persistent wet weather, highly variable ground profiles, and tight school-zone traffic required meticulous coordination. Our team responded by deploying specialised equipment and tailored methodologies, ensuring structural integrity and community safety were maintained without compromise.

With the civil framework securely delivered, we are seamlessly transitioning into the next critical phase: shoring and bulk excavation for the building's basement. Over the coming weeks, our focus will shift to executing high-volume bulk excavation, temporary shoring, and precision detailed excavation work.

Chalouhi is pleased to announce that our valued client, Parkview Constructions Pty Ltd., has awarded us the excavation and shoring works for Aeris, Melrose Park.

Located within Aeris, Melrose Park, this project will deliver three residential towers above a five-level basement, contributing to the growth of a high-quality urban community.

Our scope includes bulk excavation, shoring, foundation piling, anchoring, shotcrete, and detailed excavation. Delivered within a highly constrained environment, the project requires complex sequencing, advanced piling methodologies, and proactive re-engineering to manage ground conditions and maintain program certainty.

This award reflects Chalouhi’s proven capability in delivering technically complex, time-critical excavation and shoring packages and reinforces our strong partnership with Parkview Constructions.
