Space Craft Joinery Everything we do is built around you. Space Craft specialise in creating unique kitchens and cabinet The reason is simple.

Nobody wants a kitchen that’s come off a cookie-cutter conveyor belt of chipboard blandness. That’s why you need to see Nathan & Ellen Wundersitz at SpaceCraft Joinery in Strathalbyn. Since 2008, their small family business has bested some of the biggest names in the nation to become South Australia’s most consistently awarded kitchen design company. Nathan is a ‘kitchen whisperer’ with an uncanny knack of turning your dreams and needs into a unique, bespoke design. Then, to transform your life, it’s built and installed by a close-knit team of locals with a meticulous attention to detail they call SpaceCraftsmanship.

A little pastel perfection making its way back onto the grid.

Throwing it back to Anne & Mark’s pastel, retro kitchen, and a project that took home HIA Kitchen Design of the Year in 2022.

A few years on and we’re still not over this colour combo!

Two years of Beth!

When Beth first joined our design team two years ago, our first impression was that she was one of the quieter ones in the studio.

Fast-forward two years and, well… turns out you really can't judge a book by its cover 😂

Once Beth settled in, we got to know the real Beth—and let’s just say, “quiet” probably isn’t the first word we’d use to describe her. We’d use, confident, passionate, friendly, inviting and bright.

Since settling into the crew, we’ve loved watching Beth evolve, and this year brought a pretty special milestone, with the very first project Beth entered into the KBDi Awards—Diem & Rich’s—earning her a spot as a finalist!

Two years down, lots of laughs, stunning projects and good things along the way, and we’re looking forward to seeing what else is in store for Beth.

Family business is a pretty big part of who we are at Spacecraft—but it reaches much further than just us.

This National Family Business Day, we’re celebrating the ripple effect that comes from choosing to support family and local businesses.

When you support a family business like ours, you’re also supporting the people who make it what it is—our team, their families, and the local communities and businesses they support in return.

It’s something we try to carry through in the choices we make too. From the local and family-owned businesses behind some of the goodies in our client gift bags, to the talented makers behind those well-known cakes you often spot across our socials, and the businesses, clubs and people our team support outside of Spacecraft.

Because when you choose local or family-owned, that support rarely stops with just one business—it flows on to other families, businesses and people throughout our community.

Family businesses supporting family businesses, local supporting local, and a whole lot of good being passed along the way.

Happy National Family Business Day from our Spacecraft family to yours! 🫶

If you had to ask us what’s one of the things we love most about working with natural materials like timber veneer? No two pieces will ever be exactly the same.

The grain, movement and natural variation are all part of what gives the finished joinery its character—creating something that feels completely individual to the home it was designed for.

And for our clients, Jess and Paul, that’s what they love most about their joinery. In their words, "𝘞𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘥-𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯.”

Quite literally, one-of-a-kind.

9 years of Kingsley at SpaceCraft! 🎉

Who says you can’t get the work done and have a good laugh while you’re at it?

It’s safe to say there’s rarely a dull moment when Kings is around. Always up for a chat, a laugh or lending a hand, he’s a team player and brings plenty of personality to the SpaceCraft crew.

As one of our Technical Detailers, Kingsley has a wealth of knowledge under his belt, including experience in Microvellum (the program we use in-house, to help bring our clients joinery to life).

He’s also pretty handy when it comes to anything computer-related, earning himself the unofficial title of our go-to IT guy whenever something decides not to play nicely.

But, nine years is a pretty huge milestone, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything Kings brings to the team—particularly the commitment of making the trek from the city to Strath three days a week, with the other two spent working from home.

Plenty of knowledge, plenty of laughs and always willing to help out when needed.

We’re very lucky to have you, Kings!

We’ve got a pretty important spot to fill within our team—someone who thinks ahead, brings people together and has a knack for making things run better.

Or, as the official job title puts it, a Project & Operations Manager.

It’s a chance to join a great crew, make a real impact and play a part in shaping where SpaceCraft goes next.

Could it be you, or does someone come to mind? If you know someone who might be just the right fit, we’d love you to send this their way!

Numbers, plans, details, and problem-solving—with coffee in hand, and head in the detail ☕️

If this sounds like your kind of space, this might just be your next move.

We’re looking for an Estimator who can turn drawings into buildable, well-considered, precise joinery.
