Frequently asked questions about robotic mowers:
Q. Where did the lawn clippings go?
A. Once settled in, your robotic mower will cut your lawn 3-4 times per week. The tiny cuttings are not normally noticed and mulch down into the lawn. The added benefit is that this works as a fertiliser for your lawn saving you even more time and money.
Q. Can my robotic mower cut longer grass?
A. Yes. While this is not the best way to operate your robotic mower, occasional “catch up” mowing is possible with the high speed cutting blades of the Moebot.
Q. Can my robotic mower cut wet grass?
A. Avoid wherever possible. Cutting wet grass will create some additional maintenance work for you on the robot. Wet grass cuttings tend to build up on the underside of the mower and require more frequent cleaning. This is no different to the reason for not mowing wet grass with a conventional mower. The robotic mower has a rain sensor that automatically sends the robot back to the charging station in wet weather.
Q. What regular maintenance is required?
A. We recommend a quick clean of the underside of the mower with a soft brush once every week or two. This is a good time to inspect the blades and ensure they are sharp and free to rotate.
Q. What occasional maintenance is required?
A. Depending on the workload and working conditions of the robot, the 3 cutting blades may need to be changed every 4-6 weeks. Fortunately this is inexpensive, quick and easy.
Spare blades are included with your initial purchase and available for purchase thereafter. ($26 for 9 pack, or $66 for 30 pack). The blades are double edged so you get two uses out of each set.
