“Welcome to Real” sounds good. But what does it actually mean?

It’s the impact left after handover.
The spaces that keep doing their job while we do ours.
The partnerships earned through delivery.
And the problems solved before they become someone else’s.

Real impact. Real spaces. Real partnerships. Real solutions.

That’s Welcome to Real.

Closer-to-home care is one step closer for Dubbo.

Construction is progressing on the new Dubbo Residential Rehabilitation Centre, a purpose-built facility that will provide dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation services for people across Dubbo and the surrounding region.

Designed by Fulton Trotter Architects, the centre has been planned as a calm, supportive environment for recovery. It will bring together residential accommodation, clinical and counselling spaces, communal areas, staff facilities and landscaped outdoor spaces.

On site, the early groundwork is now giving way to the building itself.

Once complete, it will provide 24 residential patient beds and give more people the opportunity to access specialist care and support without having to leave their community.

One of the biggest structural milestones at Dubbo Workplace Hub is officially done.

The final major slab pour is in.

A big milestone for the Dubbo Workplace Hub, with the suspended slab now complete and the structural connection between the new and existing building in place.

It’s the result of months of planning, coordination and sequencing, and another clear step forward for the project.

More progress to come as the building takes shape.

Three projects. Three awards. Five years of recognition!

Renascent has taken home three awards at the MBA Western Regions Excellence in Building Awards, marking the fifth year of success at the event.

This year’s winning projects were:

🏆 Oak Tree Retirement Villages | Best Aged Care / Over 55's Living
🏆 161 Kite Street | Best Refurbishment & Extension Over $10M
🏆 Orange Homemaker Centre | Best Industrial Building

Three wins across three very different sectors made it a standout night for Renascent, and a strong snapshot of the work being delivered across Regional NSW.

This year also marks the fifth time Renascent has come away from the Western Regions Excellence in Building Awards with a win, building on a track record that continues to grow alongside our presence in the region.

These results are shared by everyone involved, including our project and site teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors and project partners.

Congratulations to all involved in delivering Orange Homemaker Centre, 161 Kite Street and Oak Tree Retirement Villages, and to the teams continuing to set a strong standard across the region.

✅ We didn’t get in the way

On a live hospital refurbishment, that’s not modesty, that’s the job. Patient care should never adjust to suit construction.

At Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick, we delivered three refurbishment projects concurrently within a live hospital environment being:
• Kidney Care Centre (renal dialysis unit)
• Security and On-Call Accommodation
• Central Equipment Store

Each space brought its own risks and constraints. What didn’t change were the rules: protect patient amenity, manage infection control risks, coordinate services, and don’t interrupt care. The work was planned down to the smallest detail and adjusted in real time, so the hospital never had to accommodate construction.

Which is the point.

Care continued. Staff stayed focused. Services kept running.
And the hospital didn’t have to work around us, because we worked around it.

An ode to heartbreak hill:

On a cold Sunday morning, tucked up in bed,
One thought filled the minds of our Sydney team’s heads:
“Why did we say YES? What were we thinking?”
Fourteen kilometres, and not even drinking.

Some trained for months, with kilometres to show,
Others took the stairs once or twice… so, you know.

But off we went, with courage and pride,
Through Heartbreak Hill and out the other side.

We made it to Bondi, our spirits intact,
Though a few of our legs may dispute that fact.

City2Surf: done and dusted.
Same time next year? Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Things you learn at boarding school:

- Clothes don't wash themselves
- How to sleep through almost anything
- The importance of naming your stuff

Fortunately, Kinross Wolaroi School has created a place that makes learning these lessons a little easier.

Our team has completed a new two-storey student accommodation building, creating a home away from home for students from across regional NSW. The new boarding house includes 16 quad rooms, 8 senior rooms with ensuites, shared study and common spaces, accommodation for the Head of House and tutors, all seamlessly connected to the existing boarding house.

It's a place where friendships will be formed, independence will grow, and students can settle into boarding life with spaces designed for living, learning and everything in between.

The building is now ready for the students.
The washing, unfortunately, is still up to them.

How do you build a display suite for a development that's still taking shape?
Start with ordering the glass, of course!

The curved glazing for UEM Sunrise’s One Oval Display Suite had a 22-week lead time. So we plan ahead—locking in the glazing early and coordinating the design around it. Smart programming, not guesswork.

Working under an ECI model with UEM Sunrise, Deloitte, Cox Architecture and NDY, we ordered the glazing early, designed the steel around it and kept the internal works moving before the façade was complete.

Conventional sequence? Nope!

Better result? Yep!

The finished suite gives buyers a premium preview of One Oval, and proves that when the design is evolving, the construction strategy needs to evolve with it.

Nobody noticed the power outage.

Good.

Because there wasn't one.

Replacing critical electrical infrastructure in a live hospital isn't just about switching power off and back on.

Weeks of planning. Careful coordination. Thorough testing.

All so one thing could continue uninterrupted:

Patient care.
