Meet Jakob Taylor, our newest electrical apprentice! ⚡

We're stoked to welcome Jakob to the team who is based in Launceston.

Outside of work, Jakob follows the Geelong Football Club and loves hanging out with mates or heading out for a fish.

Fun fact: he kicks with both feet in footy!

What does he love most about the job? Meeting new people and learning new skills, which is exactly the attitude we love to see.

If you see Jakob out on site, say g'day! 👋

Suns out, guns out ☀️💪

No two days are the same in this trade... one day you're freezing under a house, the next you're soaking up the first proper sunshine of the season.

Loving this Tassie spring, DKL style.

"Two things we take seriously: your safety, and the tunes on site."

No job gets done without a good playlist! It 100% keeps the team switched on and makes even the tough jobs feel like a good time. But once the music's up and the tools are out, we're all business. Because at the end of the day, what matters most is doing it right and keeping you and your family safe.

That's never up for negotiation.

Electrical Apprentice / 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice – Launceston

DKL Electrical and Heating is looking to grow our team with a motivated apprentice or 2nd/3rd year electrical apprentice based in Launceston.

We're a hands-on team that takes pride in quality workmanship across a broad range of electrical and heating projects, from residential to commercial work. Joining DKL means learning from experienced tradespeople who are genuinely invested in developing the next generation of sparkies... not just ticking boxes on a training plan.

We're after someone with a strong work ethic, a good attitude, and a willingness to learn. Whether you're just starting your apprenticeship or already a couple of years in, if you're reliable, keen to build real skills, and want to be part of a supportive local team, we'd love to hear from you.

This is an expression of interest only at this stage... no formal vacancy has been advertised, but we're keen to hear from the right person for when the opportunity arises.

Get in touch to register your interest.

We get it... YouTube makes it look easy, and calling a tradie feels like an unnecessary expense. But when it comes to electrical and heating work, what you can't see is often the biggest risk.

Faulty wiring, incorrect connections, and DIY heating installs are among the leading causes of house fires in Australia. Beyond the safety risk, unlicensed electrical work can void your home insurance... meaning one small shortcut could cost you everything.

A licensed electrician doesn't just fix the problem in front of them. They spot the ones you didn't know you had.

At DKL Electrical and Heating, we're not here to make you feel bad for having a crack... we're here to make sure your home is safe, your family is protected, and your wallet isn't hit with a massive repair bill down the track.

Do it once. Do it right. Sleep easy. 🏠⚡
