Another Tassie job wrapped — and this one was a big one.

A Launceston quarry needed to be filled in, which means every single truckload that comes through the gate has to be recorded and reported to the EPA. Their old system? A clipboard and a good memory.

Here's what we built instead:

✅ CCTV across the site, including cameras capturing what's in the back of every truck
✅ Automatic number plate recognition on entry and exit
✅ A wireless bridge running five spans from the main building out to the gates
✅ Solar-powered entry AND exit boom gates — no mains power needed
✅ Custom software built by our team at RaptorX Systems

Now a driver rolls up, opens the app, enters their details, and the gate lifts. As it does, the system automatically grabs a photo of the licence plate and a wide shot showing whether they've got a trailer on — both land straight on the owner's dashboard.

From that dashboard the owner can see how many trucks have been through today, where every load came from, and what it weighed. Drivers, suppliers and source locations are all managed in one place, and the whole lot exports at the press of a button when the EPA comes knocking.
