When plans arrive at Go Steel, we’re not just looking at the shape of the house.

We’re looking at how the design comes together.

Where the details need attention.

What needs to be clarified.

And how the framing package will eventually move from our workshop to the building site.

Every project is different.

Some are straightforward.

Others have unusual rooflines, larger openings, different levels or details that need a little more thought.

That’s why the conversation starts with the plans.

If you have plans ready and want to talk about the framing side of your project, send them through and we can start there.

Walk through the Go Steel workshop and you’ll see labels everywhere.

They’re there for a reason.

A house frame contains a lot of individual components, and every one has a place.

Labelling helps identify where components belong, how they relate to the plans and how the framing package is organised before delivery.

It might look like a small detail.

But small details make a big difference when a complete house worth of framing arrives on site.

Good manufacturing isn’t only about making the components.

It’s also about making sure the people at the next stage can work with them.

02/09/2026

By the time a Go Steel frame arrives on site, a lot of the work has already happened.

Plans have been reviewed.

Components have been detailed.

Steel has been manufactured, checked, labelled and organised.

The framing package has been prepared with the next stage of the build in mind.

What turns up on site is the result of a process that started well before the truck left the workshop.

That preparation matters because the easier the package is to understand and work with, the easier it is for the build to keep moving.

Over September, we’ll show you more of what happens between receiving the plans and seeing the frame standing on site.

The best place to begin a steel-framing conversation is with the plans.

They help us understand the shape of the project, the structural requirements, the areas that may need special consideration and the information still required before an accurate quote can be prepared.

You do not need to know every steel-framing term before getting in touch.

That is our part of the process.

Whether you are a builder, owner-builder or designer, send through what you have and tell us what you are trying to achieve.

From there, we can ask the right questions and work out the most practical next step.

Steel-framing supply options throughout the South Coast and Eurobodalla have changed.

Builders and owner-builders in Batemans Bay, Moruya, Narooma and surrounding areas may now be looking further afield for a steel-framing manufacturer.

Go Steel designs and manufactures wall, floor and roof framing from our South Nowra workshop and can coordinate framing packages for projects further down the coast.

Working with a supplier outside the immediate area does not need to make the process complicated.

With complete plans, clear communication and properly coordinated delivery, the frame can be designed and manufactured ready for the next stage of the project.

Building in the Eurobodalla and exploring steel framing?

Send through your plans and project location so we can look at what is practical.

A Go Steel frame is not produced by one person.

It moves through several hands before it reaches the building site.

Plans are reviewed.

Components are detailed.

Steel is manufactured, checked, labelled, organised and prepared for delivery.

Each stage affects the next one.

That is why communication inside the workshop matters just as much as communication with the builder or owner-builder.

Over time, we’ll introduce more of the people involved and explain what happens at each stage.

For now, this is a glimpse at the team and the work happening behind every completed framing package.

A steel frame starts with good material.

But that is only part of the story.

The quality of the finished frame also comes down to how accurately it has been designed, manufactured and assembled.

That means getting the details right:

Accurate dimensions.
Clean connections.
Straight walls.
Correct openings.
Proper bracing.
A frame manufactured to suit the plans.

When those pieces come together, the framing stage becomes a much stronger foundation for everything that follows.

At Go-Steel, we manufacture steel framing for projects across the South Coast and work from the plans to produce a frame ready for the next stage of the build.

Because good framing is not just about what it is made from.

It is about getting it right.

Termite risk is easiest to consider while the building is still being designed.

Once construction is complete, much of the structural frame and termite management system is hidden behind finished surfaces.

That can make future problems more difficult to identify, access and repair.

Choosing a framing material is only one part of termite risk management, but it is a decision that stays with the home for its lifetime.

The site, design, surrounding environment, selected management system and long-term maintenance requirements should all be considered together.

For an owner-builder, raising those questions early gives the relevant designers, certifiers and specialists time to coordinate a practical approach.

The best building decisions are usually made before they become urgent.
