Before falling in love with a floor plan, it is important to understand:

• The slope and contours of the land
• Soil and drainage conditions
• Vehicle and construction access
• Bushfire, flood or estate requirements
• Coastal exposure and orientation
• Where the home can be positioned on the block

Understanding the land first helps identify which designs will work, what may need to be adjusted and where potential costs could arise.

If you already own land, bring the block information into the conversation early. It gives your builder a much stronger starting point.

Construction can be a demanding industry, but pressure is not limited to the building site. Mental health can affect anyone, regardless of their job, age or circumstances.

Today is a reminder to check in with the people around us.
Ask the question.
Give them time to answer.

Listen without immediately trying to fix everything.

One genuine conversation can make more of a difference than we realise.

Another beautiful Stroud Home completed in the Blue Mountains. A Mitchell 198 with the Mountain facade, modified with a step down to suit the site.
