Our electrical team is currently finalising commissioning across two towers of a major mechanical and electrical project in Lidcombe for PHEOnix Builders, delivering critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure across four high-rise towers. 🏢

From design and fabrication through to installation, termination and commissioning, our Services Team has delivered the complete electrical scope, including:

▪️ 12 Main Switchboards (MSSBs) – designed and built in-house at our Smeaton Grange facility
▪️ 52 Commercial Fans – supply, installation and integration
▪️ Car Park Mechanical Ventilation Systems
▪️ Essential Services Integration
▪️ Stair Pressurisation Systems
▪️ Lobby Relief Systems
▪️ Field Wiring, Final Terminations & Commissioning

This project highlights the capability of our integrated Services Team to manage complex mechanical and electrical requirements at scale — from off-site fabrication through to final commissioning on site. 👷‍♂️⚡️

💛 R U OK? DAY AT MODSTRUCT GROUP 💛

Yesterday, the Modstruct Group team came together to recognise R U OK? Day with a full company day focused on connection, conversations and looking out for one another.

R U OK? Day is a reminder that asking someone “Are you OK?” can make a real difference. Sometimes, simply taking the time to check in, listen and let someone know you’re there can mean more than you realise.

The day started with a toolbox talk and presentation, before we headed off for an afternoon of lawn bowls, good food, plenty of laughs and a bit of friendly competition! 🎳☀️

It was a great opportunity to step away from the usual routine, bring everyone together and strengthen the connections within our team.

While R U OK? Day is held once a year, checking in with the people around us should happen every day. Whether it’s a colleague, friend, family member or someone you haven’t spoken to in a while — take a moment to ask, listen and genuinely check in. 💛

🏗️ FROM SMEATON GRANGE TO RURAL QUEENSLAND! ☀️

Another modular project is hitting the road, with three fully completed modules departing our Smeaton Grange facility and making the journey north to the Gympie region in rural Queensland. The modules have been purpose-built to form an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) building for a solar farm, providing essential facilities for the team operating and maintaining the site. ☀️

Manufactured and completed off-site at our Smeaton Grange facility, the modules were carefully loaded onto trucks and prepared for their journey north — showcasing the efficiency and flexibility of modular construction. You don’t normally see our modules leave the factory looking like this! 👀 For this project, we’ve taken some extra precautions to protect the three completed modules during their 12-hour 1,157km journey, the modules have been fully wrapped and protected for transport, helping preserve the finished building and minimise exposure to the elements, road grime and debris during the long trip north. 🚛

With the three modules carefully loaded onto trucks and secured for their long-distance journey, they’re now heading north towards their new home in rural Queensland. Projects like this demonstrate the versatility of modular construction and our ability to manufacture in NSW and deliver fully finished modular solutions across Australia. 🌏

10 MODULES RELOCATED & REINSTATED 🏗️

Another successful modular relocation completed by the Modstruct Group team!

Our team was contracted to relocate 1 modular building comprising 10 individual modules, from initial pack-down through to reinstatement at their new site.

🔧 Our scope included:
• Removal of all existing decking, walkways, awnings and roof overs
• Complete pack-down and preparation of the modular buildings for transport
• Packing and transportation of all office equipment, including desks, chairs, computers and other contents
• Site clean-up following removal of the buildings
• Engineering and installation of new piers
• Installation of block piers and preparation for the modules
• Transport and reinstatement of the 10 modules
• Reassembly and connection of the buildings on the new site
• Installation of new decks, awnings, walkways and associated external works

From decommissioning and transport to site preparation and full reinstatement, our team delivered a complete end-to-end modular relocation solution. ⚡️
