Russ and the crew from Scratchin the Surface are currently hard at work creating a brand-new space for the mountain bike shuttle bus to operate 🚵‍♂️

This one’s still very much a work in progress, but already taking shape with:
🪨 Solid rock retaining walls going in
🚧 New fencing coming together
🛤️ An access ramp & pathway being built for safe, easy flow

Plenty more to come, but it’s great to see it all starting to come together 🙌

🚧 Big things happening at Wandin Cricket Club! 🏏

The crew from Scratchin the Surface were on site today preparing the slab for the club’s brand-new 3-lane practice nets. It’s great to be part of another local project helping build better facilities for the community and the next generation of cricketers.

We love supporting local clubs and getting the groundwork right from the start , because strong prep makes everything that follows even better.

Good luck to Wandin cricket club with the new nets… we can’t wait to see them in action!

WORKS COMPLETE / IN PROGRESS – Yarra Junction 👷‍♂️

Scratchin the Surface has recently been working at the Yarra Junction Skate Park precinct, engaged by Yarra Ranges Council to widen sections of the shared pathway to improve accessibility for the whole community.

To achieve this, our team removed, replaced and extended the existing retaining wall, allowing the path to be safely widened while maintaining long-term structural stability. Preparations have also been completed to support additional planting and landscaping within the area.

Projects like this help create safer, more accessible shared spaces for walkers, families, prams, mobility users and cyclists.

Proud to be a local contractor supporting improvements to community infrastructure across the Yarra Ranges.

This project focuses on improving shared path accessibility and long-term site stability. Thanks to everyone for your patience while works were carried out safely.

💛 Hair with Heart, We’re Proud of Steve 💛

One of our own team members, Steve, is taking part in the Hair with Heart Challenge, raising funds to support kids who need it most through Variety, The Children’s Charity.

Steve is putting his heart (and his hair!) on the line to help provide wigs and vital support for children facing illness, disability, or disadvantage, and we couldn’t be prouder to support him.
