Spring has officially arrived, which means the garden is waking up, the hose is coming back out and those outdoor taps are about to get a whole lot busier.
But before you start watering, washing and getting stuck into the garden, take a minute to check the plumbing that spends most of winter being forgotten.
A quick check now can uncover problems before they turn into a very unwelcome surprise.
๐ฟ Check outdoor taps for drips, leaks or corrosion
๐ฐ Make sure connections arenโt loose or damaged
๐ง Check hoses and fittings for splits or deterioration
๐ง Look around the base of taps for signs of moisture
๐ Keep an eye out for unexplained wet patches around outdoor pipework
Outdoor plumbing works hard once spring arrives - particularly when gardens, lawns and entertaining areas start getting more use.
So before you turn that tap on and get stuck into spring, make sure your outdoor plumbing is ready to work as hard as you are. ๐
