🇨🇳 Behind the scenes at the PHNIX factory in China
I was extremely honoured to be invited by iStore to China to visit some of the factories behind the products we install every day.
This part of the trip was a visit to the PHNIX factory, where we got to walk through the production line and see firsthand how the units are actually built, assembled and tested.
As someone who has installed a lot of iStore heat pumps over the years, I already had a lot of trust in the product. But actually seeing the manufacturing process and the level of quality control behind them gave me even more confidence in the brand.
One thing that really stood out was seeing each individual condenser coil being pressure tested for leaks — not just selecting a few units from a batch and hoping the rest are good.
It might seem like a small detail, but as the person who has to put my name behind every system I install, that sort of quality control means a lot.
It was genuinely a great feeling seeing a product I’ve recommended and trusted for years being manufactured to the standards I hoped were happening behind the scenes.
This is why iStore continues to be our preferred heat pump brand.
At the end of the day, I need to be able to install a system, drive away and sleep at night knowing I’ve supplied my customer with a quality-made product that I trust.

Last week we had the opportunity to travel to Hawker and spend the week upgrading the hot water systems at the Hawker Hotel Motel.
The hotel had recently invested in new solar and battery storage and wanted a more efficient way to utilise that infrastructure while reducing their reliance on LPG.
Over the course of the week, we replaced 6 ageing LPG storage systems with 8 new Rinnai heat pumps, including 265L, 300L and 340L units.
A huge thank you to the staff for being so welcoming and for trusting us with the project from quotation through to completion.
It was a fantastic experience working in Hawker and seeing a great regional South Australian town up close.

Out to the Copper Coast today ☀️. Installed two Istore Heat pumps for customers whe were over dealing with LPG bottles and rising costs.
