Taking a moment of gratitude and love, I find myself looking back through these memories. Though photos, countless moments, and a beautiful reminder that life is really an accumulation of little moments, stitched together to form the tapestry of our lives.
Life hasn't always been easy for me. There have been challenges, heartbreak, uncertainty and moments that have asked more of me than I thought I had to give. Yet as I reflect, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for every choice, every pathway, every lesson, every moment of reflection, and every opportunity to grow. They have all shaped the person I am today.
Most of all, I'm grateful for the people in my life—my family and friends.
For a long time, one of my greatest struggles was feeling like I truly belonged. Through years of growth, I've come to realise that the person I was searching for was always there. The love was always there. Learning to let that cup fill from within—with light, love, laughter, kindness and optimism—has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.
My gratitude stretches across so many parts of life: the friendships that have stood beside me, the laughter shared through both the highs and the lows, colourful adventures, loud music, incredible food, meaningful conversations, sunsets and sunrises, movement and exercise, nature, waterfalls, forests, art, culture, road trips, spontaneous day trips, quiet evenings, and all the ordinary moments that somehow become unforgettable.
Over the last few years, one of the greatest journeys has been learning to truly love myself. That hasn't been easy. Some of the beliefs we carry are built over a lifetime, and often we don't even realise they're there until life gently asks us to face them. For that growth, I am deeply grateful.
Along the way, I also found love. It reminded me that my heart was still capable of opening completely, of caring deeply, and of wanting to build a life alongside someone. Love has a remarkable way of revealing not only our greatest joys, but also our fears, our wounds and the ways we've learned to protect ourselves.
