🌲 A privilege to share our industry with Dorset Employment Connect 🌲
We had the privilege of sharing our industry with Dorset Employment Connect and the Project Y participants as part of their Foundations program.
It was fantastic to take the group out into the field and give them a real insight into the forestry industry — from how forests are grown and managed, through to the machinery, harvesting operations and the different opportunities available within our industry.
We really enjoyed showing the group what a day in the life of forestry can look like and giving them the opportunity to see our operations first hand, including getting up close to the machinery and seeing both free-fall and selective thinning in action.
We hope the experience gave the participants a better understanding of the many opportunities within forestry and what a career in our industry can look like.
A big thank you to Dorset Employment Connect for bringing the group along and to everyone involved in making the day happen. We were proud to share our industry and hopefully inspire the next generation to consider a career in forestry. 🌲💚
