We spent a day at FarmX last week, and the biggest takeaway wasn't a piece of technology. It was a mindset: take the things you do day in, day out, look at them with new eyes, and share what you learn with the people around you.

A few moments that stuck with us:

Emma Germano on advocacy: farming's story should be told with strength, not sympathy. Farmers are pragmatic people running serious businesses, and they deserve to be spoken to that way.

Katie Nash on community: farming works best when there's a place to belong and people to learn from.

TAS Farm Innovation Hub on planning for climate variability: it's not an operations problem, it's a strategy question, and it starts with protecting the assets your whole business relies on.

And one number we're still thinking about: if every Australian ate one more serve of vegetables a day, it would put around three billion dollars back into the industry, with most of it going straight to farmers. AUSVEG

Stephen came to us with a clear goal, he wanted his calving shed setup and ready to go ahead of the busy season. We met him on site, listened to his requirements and then got work. Delivering his shed on time and without changes to the budget.

A big thank you to everyone we caught up with last Friday at Red Meat Updates Tasmania in Launceston.

It was a great chance to sit down with producers and industry folks and talk through what's really happening on farms across Tasmania right now, the wins, the challenges, and everything in between.

We know farming isn't always easy, and that's exactly why we do what we do. Every shed we build starts with listening to what a farmer actually needs, because no two properties are the same.

To all the Tassie farmers putting in the hard yards, we see you and we're proud to support industry.

Dairy Showcase | 18mW x 46mL x 5mH

Built to support the future of dairy farming, this purpose-built 18mW x 46mL robotic dairy combines practical design with modern automation.

The dairy is designed for a capacity of ten robotic milking units, with eight currently operational. The facility provides a durable, efficient environment that supports animal welfare, improves workflow and helps streamline day-to-day operations.

Opening Day | Tebrakunna Rangers

On 26 June, our team was invited to the official opening of the Tebrakunna Ranger Base at Cape Portland.
Working alongside the MTWAC team, Bison helped bring their new training facility to life.

Fondly known as 'The Big Shed', the facility provides a dedicated space for the Tebrakunna Rangers to operate their ranger program, deliver ranger and cultural awareness training, and host cultural ceremonies.

Being located to the coast, Bison delivered this project with specialised products and finishes to enhance durability.

Thank you to the Tebrakunna Rangers for welcoming our team to the official opening. We appreciate the opportunity to see the facility officially opened and already being put to use.

Shed Throwback: 20mW x 71mL Onion Storage Facility

Completed in 2023, Bison purpose-built this onion storage facility in Penguin, Tasmania for Ellenton Pastoral Pty Ltd.

With 1,200m² of floor space, this shed can store up to 2500 tonnes of produce, providing a practical and efficient solution for harvest storage and handling.

Designed to maximise storage capacity while maintaining easy access for loading and unloading, this facility continues to support one of Tasmania's key agricultural industries.

Dairy Showcase: 24mW x 26mL x 4.2mH

Bison recently completed this dairy for Compass Agri Australia at Ouse a purpose-built to support the business today and well into the future.

Built to handle up to 900 cows, with the farm currently milking around 550. That number is expected to grow to around 750 next season, with capacity ready to scale right through to 900.

Designed for efficiency and ease of operation, this dairy gives the business the ability to keep cows moving and maintain milking routines in all conditions, while supporting long-term growth.
