Fleet Plant Hire Solutions was proud to join industry partners, government representatives and transport operators at the launch of the Victorian Electric Heavy Vehicle Trial.
This initiative represents an important step forward in understanding how electric heavy vehicles can be successfully integrated into real-world freight and construction operations across Victoria.
For FPH, this project builds on a significant amount of work already undertaken over the past seven months. During this period, our two electric heavy vehicles have been operating in live customer environments, providing valuable insights into vehicle performance, charging requirements, operating costs and the practical realities of transitioning fleets to zero-emission technology.
Through this experience, we have seen firsthand the opportunities that electric heavy vehicles present for reducing emissions while continuing to meet the demanding operational requirements of our industry.
A sincere thank you to The Hon. Melissa Horne MP, Minister for Ports and Freight, and the Victorian Government for their leadership and support in advancing the future of sustainable freight transport. We would also like to acknowledge Peter Anderson and the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) for bringing industry, operators and project partners together to make this important initiative a reality.
We are proud to contribute our knowledge, operational experience and commitment to innovation to this trial and look forward to continuing our collaboration with the VTA, Daimler Truck Australia Pacific, RACV Commercial Energy Solutions, Royans and RSM as we help shape the future of sustainable freight and construction transport in Australia.
The transition to lower-emission transport requires collaboration, investment and a willingness to trial new technologies. We are excited to be part of that journey and to continue supporting the decarbonisation of our industry.
