So ends Winter! We now prepare to enter spring time and what is traditionally the busiest time of the year, not just for our Carpentry Crew, but for the entire industry.
Here's to an amazing Spring ahead. πŸ˜‰

Fear not world! This was us doing some investigation works for a client, so just checking out a building so they can then make a future decision on what to do (we did of course put some temporary cladding and corner stop back on!)
So, our industry always talks about processes, and this is why...
Painting the ends of pine board before installing is a must, now, this is something that is mandatory now.
I'd never judge another chippies work, it's easy to say this or that failed, but often it's not the workmanship, alot of the time its also the quality of the materials we can source (imagine if we still had a thriving industry and were able to source long lasting hardwood instead of soft timbers). πŸ€”
On this building regardless of why its occurred (those are private findings I'll share with out client) it showcases how water/rot can really take out pine in a massive way.
The 1st 3 photos show that we were able to get a screwdriver (with the least amount of pressure) around 45mm into a 90mm timber stud "that ain't good folks", and then the ends of the board had sadly yielded to water over time also. 😒
We will present our detailed findings to our valued client and then they can make decisions on what works to complete, who to engage to complete them.
After having fun checking this out, and then putting in the replacement timber for the areas we investigated on, Hayden and I needed a cheeky b**r! πŸ˜‰

Huge shout out to James Baker and Hayden Creaser for both agreeing to get up early and the 3 of us get these new divider panels and toilet roll holders installed at a child care facility before opening hours. We got it done, headed to bakery for a brekkie (my shout to thank the boys for super early start), and headed off to various other sites before the facility even opened its door. Nice work team! πŸ˜‰
Thankfully Hayden and I both agreed the way in which the correct way for the toilet roll to be put on too πŸ˜† 🀣

It's been a busy year, so busy that my beard is now officially Grey, forget the pepper, that's all Salt! πŸ˜† 🀣
We've been busy working through various jobs, and all client works are up to date and under control (as much as they can be πŸ˜†).
Next week is now going to be quote week, working through the many requests for our brilliant Carpenters to complete valued customers work.
So if your chasing a quote and haven't heard back from me yet, expect a call, email, text or combination of both next week.
Thanks for your patience, it feels great to be so in demand though, we'll keep doing our best to service Sale and surrounds with our Carpentry works. πŸ˜‰

Completing permitted outdoor areas prior to spring and summer is always a great feeling. Completing it and hearing the words "Final Inspection Passed" from the surveyors is even better! Only one thing better than that, clients being happy with the end result! This project ticked everyone of those boxes! πŸ˜‰
Here's to many happy years with your beautiful new area, I'm sure it'll be the perfect spot for coffee and G&T's! πŸ˜€

Time stands still for no one, and the world around changes.
Today Andrew Campbell "Ando" "Cambo" is doing his last contract day with us.
For myself and James Baker in particular this is a happy and sad day, we remember you doing work experience with us when you were in Year 9 or Year 10, photos below to prove it! Ha ha πŸ˜‚
Happy as Ando finally heads off to drive trucks for a living (Jimmy and I have heard this for almost a decade! So about time lol πŸ˜†) and sad as to be honest this bloke is more like a little brother than a contractor (maybe I should have said it more).
We've worked on site together, taken the mickey out of each other more times than I can count. We've laughed and celebrated many happy occasions together. We've also cried and shared loses of loved ones together.
I could write a post about the bloke for hours, so let's keep it simple. Through it all I've been lucky to have you with us, then not, then with us, then not, then with us lol πŸ˜† πŸ˜‰
Hayden Creaser will now spend his time stirring me up instead πŸ˜† 🀣 and I know he'll miss you too.
I won't miss the country music, I will miss you though, and I know you'll be driving rigs, I'll make sure I don't drive too slowly in front of ya! πŸ˜‰
I will miss ya, I appreciate everything, and I love ya mate... all the best you'll always have a home with us.
Keep on trucking!!!! πŸ˜‰

It's not always glamours, sometimes it's about what can be done to correct a problem while also being mindful of budgets and other considerations.
This isn't a big job, but it was important.
Two large beams had rot away, and needed to be replaced, this was done and colour matched as best we could.
Next we had to remove the worst and most damaged and install new weatherboards. This wasn't about painting the entire building or replacing every board, it was to remove water damaged boards and get them painted up.
Many Carpentry Services providers stay away from these or don't show the completed works, simply as it's not the glamours stuff, but we are happy to have corrected these issues and get the worst damage boards & beams removed and replaced. πŸ˜‰
