Tradie Trev Traveling to Growth

Tradie Trev Traveling to Growth I believe no one should have to choose between providing for their family and being present for them.

That's why I'm helping hardworking people build online income that creates more freedom, more choices, and more moments that matter.

I reckon one of the biggest traps we fall into is waiting for the right time.

When work settles down.

When we've got more money.

When the kids are a bit older.

When we know exactly what we're doing.

When we're finally ready.

The problem is...

There’s always another reason to wait.

I’ve caught myself doing it plenty of times.

Thinking I need to have everything figured out before I take the next step.

But the more I’m learning, the more I’m realizing...

You don't get ready and THEN take action.

A lot of the time, you take action...

and that's how you get ready.

You learn.
You make mistakes.
You adjust.
You figure things out along the way.

And sometimes you just have to have a crack and see what happens.

I'm still figuring plenty of things out.

But I'd rather be moving in a direction I believe in...

than sitting still waiting for everything to be perfect.

Because perfect timing doesn't exist.

There's just the choice to start.

Sunday has a funny way of making you slow down a bit.

The week’s nearly done.

You’ve had a chance to switch off, spend some time with the people you care about, and hopefully enjoy a few moments without thinking about work.

And maybe that’s when the bigger picture becomes a little clearer.

Because when you’re in the middle of the week...

It’s easy to just keep moving.

Work.
Responsibilities.
Bills.
The next thing.
Then the next thing after that.

But every now and then, I think it’s worth asking yourself...

“Is this actually the life I want to keep building?”

Not because everything is bad.

Not because you need to change everything tomorrow.

Just because sometimes the life we end up living is simply the result of never stopping long enough to decide what we actually want.

For me, I’m starting to think differently about what success looks like.

It’s not just about earning more.

It’s having the freedom to choose how I spend my time.

Being there for the family.

Having adventures.

Getting away.

Having a laugh.

And still being able to build something that gives me more options down the track.

I don’t have it all figured out.

Far from it.

But I know I’d rather spend the next few years intentionally building something...

than wake up one day and wonder where the time went.

So maybe that's the Sunday question:

Are you just getting through the week...

or are you actually building the life you want?

Something to think about before Monday rolls around.

Sometimes the weekend gives you a bit of breathing room.

No alarm for work.
No jobs to get to.
No one telling you what needs to happen next.

And those quiet moments can be pretty bloody good.

But they can also be when the old habits creep back in.

Sit down.
Scroll for a while.
Watch a bit of TV.
Before you know it, half the day has disappeared.

And there’s nothing wrong with switching off.

We all need that.

But I’ve been thinking about what I want those moments to look like.

Maybe instead of automatically reaching for the phone...

Get outside with the family.

Go for a walk.
Have a proper conversation.
Work on something you’ve been putting off.
Learn something new.
Or just be present.

Because I don’t want to build a better future at the expense of enjoying the life I’ve already got.

I want the ambition...

AND the family time.

I want to keep growing...

AND enjoy the weekends.

I want to build something for the future...

WITHOUT missing what’s happening right in front of me.

That’s the win-win I’m looking for.

And sometimes it might be as simple as catching yourself falling back into an old pattern...

and choosing something different.

One small choice.

Then another.

That’s how things start to change.

So this weekend, I’m going to make a conscious effort to be present, enjoy the people around me, and maybe do a few things a little differently.

What about you?

It's Friday.

The week's done.

The work's done.

And if I'm honest...

I'm bloody ready to switch off for a bit.

Maybe a b**r.

Maybe catching up with mates.

Maybe sitting around talking absolute s**t about nothing in particular.

And you know what?

That's part of the life I'm trying to build too.

Because sometimes I think we get so caught up chasing the next thing...

we forget to actually enjoy where we are right now.

I'm still working towards something bigger.

I'm still learning.

Still putting myself out there.

Still doing things that make me uncomfortable.

But I'm also learning that life isn't just about the next goal.

It's about the Friday afternoons.

The laughs.

The people around you.

The spontaneous conversations.

The weekends away.

The moments you don't plan.

Those are the things you actually remember.

And maybe that's one of the biggest reasons I'm doing what I'm doing.

Not to escape work.

Not to become some bloke sitting on a beach doing nothing.

I want the ability to have more of these moments...

without always having that little voice in the back of my head saying:

"Mate, you've got work tomorrow."

I want more choice over my time.

More time with good people.

More time with the family.

More time to just be there.

So tonight?

I'm going to enjoy Friday.

Because I'm learning something important:

You don't have to wait until you've "made it" to enjoy your life.

Have a b**r.

Have a laugh.

Enjoy your people.

And then Monday...

we get back stuck into it.

🍻

Happy Friday, legends.

Here's the part of changing your life that doesn't make a very good Instagram post.

Some days I doubt myself.

There.

I said it.

Some days I wonder if I'm wasting my time.

Some days I look at what other people are doing and think:

"What the hell am I doing?"

And some days...

I just want to go back to what I know.

Because what I know is comfortable.

I know how to work.

I know how to solve problems.

I know how to turn up and get the job done.

This?

This is different.

I'm learning new skills.

I'm putting myself out there.

I'm having conversations.

I'm creating things.

I'm making mistakes where people can actually see them.

And that's uncomfortable.

But I've started asking myself a different question.

Not:

"How do I get rid of the doubt?"

But:

"Can I keep moving while the doubt is there?"

Because maybe confidence isn't about never questioning yourself.

Maybe it's about questioning yourself...

and still having a crack.

That's what I'm learning.

I'm not fearless.

I'm just getting better at not letting fear drive the car.

And some days...

that's a win in itself.

I've spent too much time trying to figure out how other people do it.

What do they post?

How do they talk?

What are they saying?

What's working for them?

And don't get me wrong...

I'm still going to learn from people who are ahead of me.

I'd be stupid not to.

But I've realised something.

Learning from someone and becoming someone else are two completely different things.

I've done the second one.

And every time I did...

I felt like something was missing.

Because it wasn't me.

It might have looked good.

It might have worked for them.

But it didn't sound like Trevor.

And if I'm going to build something that lasts...

I need to be comfortable standing behind my own voice.

That means I might do things differently.

I might say things differently.

I might make mistakes other people wouldn't make.

That's okay.

I'm not here to be a better version of someone else.

I'm here to become a better version of me.

I'll listen.

I'll learn.

I'll take advice.

I'll steal the lesson...

but I'll make it mine.

And honestly, I think that's where things are starting to get interesting.

Because for the first time...

I'm not trying to fit myself into someone else's mould.

I'm building my own.
