Today's Men's Health Week pre-start discussion focuses on mateship & exercise.

Strong friendships and healthy habits can have a powerful impact on both physical and mental wellbeing.

Did you know that 1 in 3 men experience loneliness, and that having no mates can be as unhealthy as smoking 15 ci******es a day?
Social connection plays an important role in our health, while regular exercise helps keep both the body and mind strong, reduces the risk of disease and can even add years to your life.

This Men's Health Week, make the call, send the message or organise the catch-up.

Contact old mates. Meet new mates. Stay active. Tell your mates.

We'd like to give you a heads up that today's pre-start discussion focuses on mental health and includes information relating to su***de.

The statistics below are worth a read. They highlight why conversations about mental health matter and why checking in with ourselves and those around us is so important.

Mental health is an important part of overall wellbeing, yet it's something many men find difficult to talk about.

Some of the statistics are a reminder of why these conversations matter:
• 3 in 4 su***des are men.
• 2 in 5 men will experience a mental health disorder during their lifetime.
• Men who are not in the workforce have four times the risk of depression.
• Separated men have six times the risk of depression.
• Men who lack close friendships have twice the risk of suicidal thoughts.

The good news is there are positive steps we can take to support our mental wellbeing. Maintaining a healthy body through regular exercise, good nutrition and healthy habits can strengthen mental health. Building a healthy lifestyle and staying connected with family, friends and workmates can also make a real difference.

Looking after your mental health is just as important as looking after your physical health.

This Men's Health Week, take the time to check in with yourself and those around you.

Start the conversation. Stay connected.

Today's Men's Health Week pre-start discussion focuses on Diabetes, Men's Health Checks and Heart Health.

The statistics are a powerful reminder of why regular health checks matter.

Did you know that around 1 million Australian men are living with diabetes, and 3 in 5 cases of Type 2 diabetes can be prevented through healthy lifestyle choices?

Heart disease also remains the leading cause of death for Australian men, while 50 men a day die from preventable causes across Australia.

The good news is that many health risks can be identified early through regular check-ups and by knowing your numbers, including blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol levels and BMI.

This Men's Health Week, be a men's health champion.

Get checked. Take action. Tell your mates.

By sharing your experience, you could encourage someone else to take that important first step towards better health.

This week, we're recognising Men's Health Week by starting important conversations across our team at pre-start each day.

Today's topic is Men's Health Facts.

The reality is that many health issues affecting men can be prevented or managed through awareness, early intervention and healthy lifestyle choices.

Factors such as our environment, daily habits and regular health checks all play an important role in our overall wellbeing.

Just as importantly, mental health and physical health go hand in hand. Looking after one helps protect the other.

This Men's Health Week, take a moment to check in with yourself, know your numbers and make your health a priority.

A conversation today could make a difference tomorrow.

When uninterrupted operations matter, reliable temporary power solutions make all the difference.

Recently, our team delivered an 11kV power plant solution for a mining customer to support an underground ventilation fan while site power was temporarily disconnected for routine maintenance and upgrades.

Over the one-week project, Capability Resources supplied and managed:

1 x 1500kVA Mines approved 415V Generator
2 x Step deck Trailers
1 x 2.5MVA 415V-11kV step up Substation
1 x 4500L fuel cell
LV cabling to suit

A big thank you to Corey and Lachlan who delivered, installed, commissioned and later returned to decommission the equipment, ensuring the project ran smoothly from start to finish.

Most importantly, the ventilation system remained operational, allowing underground activities to continue throughout the scheduled outage.

Well done team on another successful project and a great result for our customer.
