Storing your firewood properly can make a big difference to how well it burns.

Even good quality firewood needs to be stored the right way once you get it home.

A few simple tips:

Keep it raised off the ground
Cover the top only
Leave the sides open
Make sure there is good airflow
Avoid leaving it in wet or damp areas

Wrapping the whole stack in plastic or leaving it sitting on the ground can trap moisture and make your firewood harder to burn when you need it most.

A well-stored stack means drier wood, a cleaner burn, and a better result when the cold nights roll in.
