MCS Civil has the capability, certifications and experience to work safely within the rail environment.

Our teams operate in accordance with Australian Rail Track Corporation Ltd. - ARTC requirements and hold the relevant Rail Safety Worker (RSW) competencies, inductions and site qualifications required for rail projects.

From planning and coordination through to delivery on site, our experienced teams understand the requirements of working around critical rail infrastructure and are equipped to deliver safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

MCS Civil was engaged by Coleman Rail to provide plant and labour services for the L2 Randwick Line and Lilyfield Stabling Yards as part of the Sydney Light Rail project.

Working within an active urban construction environment, our team supported the delivery of critical rail infrastructure through the provision of skilled personnel, specialist plant and civil construction services.

Following the successful delivery of the initial scope, MCS Civil was awarded additional works at the Lilyfield Stabling Yard, including piling, pile trimming and construction of the combined services route.

The project required close coordination across multiple work fronts and disciplines, with a strong focus on safety, planning and efficient site delivery. Thanks to the team for their hard work on this project and another successful outcome.

MCS Civil proudly supports Little Wings, a charity providing free, professional and safe air and ground transport for seriously ill children and their families across regional and remote NSW, QLD and ACT.

Access to specialist healthcare can be challenging for families living outside major centres. Little Wings helps bridge that gap by connecting children with the medical care they need while keeping families together during some of their most difficult moments.

In FY25, Little Wings helped 5,100 children access essential healthcare, and we’re proud to continue supporting an organisation that makes such a meaningful difference for regional families.

At MCS Civil, we believe our responsibility extends beyond the projects we deliver. Supporting the communities connected to our work is an important part of who we are.

MCS Civil was engaged by UGL LTD to deliver critical civil works for the Transgrid Wallgrove Grid Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in New South Wales.

The 50MW/78MWh Wallgrove Grid Battery is an important addition to Australia’s evolving energy network, supporting grid stability and the continued integration of renewable energy.

MCS Civil’s scope included:
• Bulk earthworks, remediation and engineered subgrade preparation
• Detailed excavations, drainage and heavy vehicle pavement works
• Formwork, reinforcement and concrete (FRP) works for Tesla Megapack slabs and structural foundations
• Reinforced concrete transformer bunds and containment structures
• Removal and replacement of 1,110 tonnes of unsuitable fill to support project requirements

Projects of this complexity require experienced people, reliable equipment and disciplined ex*****on. Our team delivered these works safely and efficiently, supporting the successful completion of a critical energy infrastructure project.

Well done to everyone involved for the commitment and professionalism shown throughout delivery.
