A bit of a look at what actually goes into fixing a drainage issue properly 🌧️

This area was holding water alongside the retaining wall, so we excavated a trench and installed geofabric, agi pipe and scoria to collect and direct the water properly.

The retaining wall drainage and new French drain both feed into a new drainage pit we installed, which then connects into the existing stormwater system.

Finished off with river pebbles and corten steel edging for a clean, low-maintenance finish.

Most of the important drainage work gets covered up - it’s what’s underneath that makes the difference. 🌱

A couple of our recently completed retaining walls, which created a large level area for our client’s newly installed open-bay machinery shed. Plenty of room undercover now for the digger, tractor, trailers and all the other gear that comes with living on acreage. 🚜

Dead space? No dramas. 💪

This side yard is now a level area ready for a concrete slab and brand new carport.

Our 1.8T excavator was the perfect machine for the tight access, allowing us to excavate, reshape the area and install a concrete sleeper retaining wall where larger equipment couldn’t get in.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing though… Being right next to the local granite quarry meant we struck solid granite almost everywhere. Drilling the post holes was slow going and definitely put the crew and the gear to the test, but we got there in the end.

Himalayan sandstone crazy paving & corten steel edging 🍂

This one was an absolute pleasure to work on - heaps of natural character and some really nice personal touches throughout. The standout has to be the client’s handmade mosaic feature mounted on the timber screen 🤩 such a beautiful piece and ties the whole space together perfectly!

This area was an absolute mess before 👀

No usable space behind the old farm shed, heaps of overgrowth and drainage problems causing issues everywhere. We cleared it all out, retained the area properly and installed drainage to carry the runoff back into an existing dam on the property.

Added a fresh rock walkway down the bottom and planted larger established trees along the top for privacy 🌲

Existing paving was all over the place, so we ripped it out and relaid it using recycled reds to match the existing brickwork around the pool.
