WOW… WHERE HAVE THE LAST 17 YEARS GONE? ❤️

This week marks a very special milestone for CJ Homes Central Queensland!

It was exactly 17 years ago this week, back in October 2009, CJ Homes commenced onsite construction works for our very first 10 homes in Gracemere. Our building story commenced back in 2001 however October 2009 was a special new chapter to building at the time we were told it would not work.
Some might have called us ambitious… others probably thought we were a little crazy! But we had a vision, a dedicated team of local trades and a commitment to delivering quality new homes to Central Queensland families.

17 YEARS LATER… WE'RE STILL HERE, STILL BUILDING AND STILL PROUDLY LOCAL! ❤️

Of course, a few things have changed along the way…

😂 We've all gained a few grey hairs (some of us have lost a little more hair than others!).

🔨 Our tools, building methods, home designs and construction requirements have certainly evolved.

🌧️ We've survived wet seasons, the dry seasons, the building booms, the quieter times - from price wars and who could forget COVID, rising construction costs, material shortages every challenge the building industry could throw at us!

But through all the highs and lows, one thing has never changed – our commitment to building quality homes and looking after our customers.

❤️ SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE!

One of the things we're most proud of isn't just the number of homes we've built and the people who have helped us build them.

Incredibly, many of the original local tradespeople who worked on those original homes are STILL working alongside us on our construction sites today – 17 YEARS LATER!

That's something pretty special in today's building industry.

These aren't just subcontractors. They're part of the CJ Homes story, their loyalty, workmanship and dedication have helped shape the business we are today.

FROM OUR FIRST 10 HOMES TO HUNDREDS OF HOMES ACROSS CENTRAL QUEENSLAND! 🏡

What began at Gracemere in a small container on the side of a road has grown into one of Central Queensland's most established and recognised new home building company.

Today, we're proud to be among the longest-established Residential new home builders continuing to deliver new homes throughout Rockhampton, Gracemere, Yeppoon and the Capricorn Coast.

We've watched new estates develop, families grow, first home buyers become second and third home buyers, entire communities take shape. We have watched home sizes grow, inclusions get added from humble beginnings of building homes that averaged 180m2 to 200m2 to now homes as large as 500m2 an more features in every build.

And the best part? We're still just as passionate about building homes today as we were 17 years ago.

Recent rain predictions in Central Queensland Highlight potential of unstable weather / thunderstorms and potential massive rainfalls over the coming days.

This week we have already delayed and made the decision to reschedule works across some of our construction sites.
