Congrats girls
From the 7th to 9th of August, 9 of our Year 12 students, Mikayla, Ayla, Nicole, Grace, Acacia, Poppy, Fatima, Abby, and Gabbie travelled with Mr Jones and Mrs Merritt to the Gold Coast to participate in the Senior Schools Cup Volleyball competition. Following months of training and preparation, our team competed in a Division 2 pool of the competition against several teams from around the state. Over the three days, our students performed valiantly against some highly experienced and talented teams. Despite this, our girls were able to remain competitive and even achieved a dominant victory on the last day of the competition!
The opportunity to participate in this competition would not have been possible without support from our sponsors, Dezign Elements and PureComm. Their generous contributions went a long way in allowing us to send our first ever Senior Schools Cup Volleyball team. Additional thanks must also go to co-coach Miss Flesser for helping our girls prepare, and Josie Merritt and Donna Davis for supporting our students and Mr Jones on the Gold Coast.
