Over the last few days we haven been carefully exposing and removing sections of an old watermain.

A bit of patience and a gentle touch needed to get around the existing pipe and avoid any damage.

Always satisfying seeing a job like this come together. 🚜

✨Stage 1 of the Country Club Ave road rehabilitation works is officially complete! 🛣️

The team did an outstanding job on the kerbing and asphalt, delivering a top-quality finish for the community. Massive shoutout to the crew for their hard work and attention to detail on this one— the linemarking is sharp and the revegetaiton is coming in thick🔥!

Shout out to some of the legends who did a great job Tasmania 🙌

Massive shout out to the boys for an impressive turnaround!

Within 24 hours, the crew successfully:

✅ Removed the damaged kerbing
✅Prepared and poured fresh kerb
✅Backfilled and cleaned up the site

Quality work delivered ahead of time! 🏗️💪

The boys are doing some essential pavement repairs that include:

🔹 Digging out failed sections (200mm deep)
🔹 Compacting a strong 3% cement gravel mix
🔹 Laying down a fresh asphalt finish

📣Kerb Replacement Works – Douglas Street between Campbell Street and Wentworth Street

📅Start Date: 6th August 2026

🕘Duration: 4 business days (weather permitting)

🛣️As part of City of Launceston's road reseal program, Crossroads Civil Contracting will be replacing sections of damaged kerb in Douglas Street prior to the road being resealed.

⚠️ Some on street parking will be affected but we will place ‘No Parking’ bollards in the affected areas. No driveways will be affected so property access will remain open, however if you have any concerns please talk to one of our friendly workers or call our Operations Supervisor, Kyle, on 0466 966 521 .

🚜 The Profiler in Action 🚧

​Before new asphalt can be laid, the profiler precisely mills the road to the desired depth and deposits the material in trucks. This one here is milling 220mm deep. 📏

This crucial first step ensures the new road can be built on a uniform surface. Minimizing excavation times and constructing a safe road for years to come 🙌

Shoutout to the Subdivision Crew for a seamless job! 🙌

The team recently completed ​major water main works —cutting a 450mm tee into a 450mm ductile iron main line to tie in the new stage.

Mains are back on, up to full pressure, with zero leaks! 🛠️💧

This is the invisible infrastructure that no one sees but keeps everything moving 👍🏼
