What happens when tree roots take over your underground pipework? 🌳

For this job, damaged sections of the property’s water and stormwater lines needed to be replaced.

Our team used non-destructive digging to carefully expose the affected pipes, remove the obstructing roots and install approximately 8 to 9 metres of new water and stormwater lines. Once everything was reconnected, the new water line was pressure tested and the stormwater line was checked for flow before the area was backfilled and prepared for reinstatement.

A hot water system upgrade completed in Balwyn 🔧

Our team replaced the home’s older solar storage system with a new continuous flow gas hot water unit.

After isolating, draining and removing the old system, we altered the existing copper pipework and installed the new unit, valve kit and tempering valve. The redundant solar flow and return lines were capped off before the system was tested and commissioned.

Another hot water upgrade completed by Andy 🔥

Andy removed the existing system and installed a new Australia continuous flow hot water unit, including running a new gas line, reworking the copper pipework, and safely decommissioning the existing roof panel connections.

The end result is a cleaner setup, more usable space and reliable hot water when it’s needed. No two homes are the same, when it comes to hot water, we work with our customers to find what suits the property, existing services and long-term use.

Blocked stormwater drain cleared in Alphington after tree roots completely took over the line.

We ran the drain machine through the stormwater pipe, cut the roots out, and pulled a fair bit back from the drain. Once cleared, the line was flowing properly again.

This is a pretty common issue we see around older Melbourne suburbs where roots find their way into underground drains through cracked joints and older pipework.
