A structural repair completed by the Sandside team, with a big thanks to Steinke House Restumping & Construction for jumping on board and assisting with this project.

This deck had suffered significant corrosion to the steel support system over time. Our scope of works included replacing all three steel support posts with new galvanised posts, repairing corroded steel post bases, treating and restoring the existing steel beam, and protecting all repaired steel with a long lasting corrosion resistant coating.
Structural repairs like these are about more than appearance they’re about restoring strength, safety and extending the life of your home.

For this job, we repaired damaged plasterboard to the garage and bathroom walls, completed all patching and finishing, installed two new 900mm stainless steel towel rails, and fitted two heavy duty storage shelves in the garage.

Another fence upgrade completed.

We removed the old fence and installed a brand-new Colorbond fence, reusing the existing steel posts to help keep costs down without compromising on the finished result. We also installed a matching locking access gate for a clean, secure finish.

For this project we excavated and prepared the area before pouring a reinforced 4.5m x 3m concrete slab, ready for a future insulated panel flyover roof. By completing the build in stages, the clients are able to move forward with the project while giving the budget time to recover before the next stage begins.

Another Retaining Wall Fixed and Done Right

Sandside Constructions & Steinke House Restumping & Construction

The previous wall here failed due to incorrect drainage and poor workmanship. At Sandside Constructions, we don’t cut corners. Every wall we build is backed by our lifetime warranty, so you know it’s done right the first time.

For this job, we removed a large amount of dirt to enlarge the backyard and built a strong, properly engineered retaining wall. Thanks to Steinke HRC for their support on this project. We got it done just in time before the heavy rain hit.

Another full outdoor transformation completed by Sandside Constructions & Lee Bro’s Roofing

This old pergola was completely rotten through the posts and framing and had reached the point where it was no longer safe or worth repairing.

We teamed up with the crew at Lee Bros Roofing to completely rebuild the space and give the client a much stronger, cleaner and more functional outdoor area built to last 👌🏽

To help keep costs down for the client, we also reused existing materials that were still in good condition where possible, rather than replacing items unnecessarily.

Works completed:
• Demolition and removal of existing rotten pergola
• Rebuild of outdoor patio structure
• Reuse of existing materials where suitable to reduce costs
• Brand new treated timber posts and framing
• New roof sheeting and flashings installed
• New gutters and PVC down pipe fitted
• New garden bed sleeper edging installed
• Fresh gravel finish throughout the outdoor space
• Full clean-up and transformation of the area

The end result came up unreal and completely changed the feel of the backyard into a clean, low-maintenance outdoor living area.
