Wodens is pleased to have recently been awarded the first stage of the St John Paul II College Oval development in Nicholls, ACT.

Our works will lay the foundations for the future sporting facilities, with the scope including:
▪️ Bulk earthworks and shaping of the oval site
▪️ Stormwater drainage and water, sewer, electrical and communications infrastructure
▪️ Carpark construction and access improvements, including the Colbert Close cul-de-sac
▪️ Footpaths, boundary fencing and gates

Our crews have been making strong progress on the earthworks, with these drone shots capturing the site taking shape.

We’re proud to contribute to a local project that will support sport and recreation for the College’s students, and look forward to sharing more updates as works progress.

Last night Wodens was awarded the Heritage Landscapes and the Natural Environment Award at the National Trust ACT Heritage Awards.
Wodens is proud to have delivered the National Rose Gardens works for the National Capital Authority and share in the project’s recognition by the National Trust ACT. Upgrading infrastructure in a heritage setting calls for careful planning, attention to detail and respect for the place’s history.
It’s rewarding to see our team’s work recognised and the gardens ready for their next chapter. Thank you to our crews, subcontractors, suppliers and the NCA team for bringing this project together.

Last Friday, we came together for our annual R U OK Day BBQ—a chance to pause, reflect on our team and support networks, and take time to catch up and connect.

Everyone went home with a party bag filled with helpful resources and a few treats. This year’s event was made even more special by presenting several of our long-term employees with some long overdue thank you’s, something we look forward to continuing in the future.

Kings Highway and Monaro Highway Pavement Rehabilitation

Being named Sustainable Project of 2026 was an especially proud achievement. Through innovative pavement stabilisation, extensive material reuse, reduced haulage and the introduction of fly ash as a secondary binder, the Kings Highway and Monaro Highway project demonstrated that sustainable construction can deliver measurable environmental benefits without compromising safety, quality or performance.

These honours reflect the skill, commitment and teamwork of everyone involved—from our project teams and support staff to our clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

Most importantly, they recognise the people who plan the work, solve the challenges and deliver safely and professionally every day.
