😬 This is what happens when grease build-up meets tree roots.

Not a pretty sight, but a good reminder of why these two culprits are some of the worst combinations for your drains. Grease narrows the pipe over time, roots find any gap they can to get in, and eventually you're left with a blockage like this one.

If your drains are running slow or gurgling, don't wait for it to get to this stage — early intervention is a lot cheaper (and less gross) than a full dig-up.

🚫 That bit of leftover fat from dinner? Please don't tip it down the sink.

Grease might go down as a liquid, but it cools and hardens fast — clinging to the inside of your pipes and building up over time until you're left with a full blockage. It's one of the most common (and most avoidable) causes of blocked drains we see.

Instead:
✅ Let grease cool and scrape it into the bin
✅ Wipe greasy pans with paper towel before washing
✅ Keep a jar for cooking oil disposal instead of pouring it out

🛠️ A small leak, a big difference in how it's done properly.

We detected a small leak on this job and replaced the water feed with new copper pipe — but what we're really proud of here is the setup. Dirt neatly contained on tarps, grass lifted in clean, even chunks ready to go straight back down, and the whole work area kept tidy from start to finish.
