Dark-grey mottled stone meets almost-black joinery, and walls washed the colour of moss – cool tones warmed with hints of russet, aged brass and herringbone timber underfoot. With its wintery hues, Chambers Residence invites a revisit.

The right armchair in the right corner brings personality and a finishing touch to a space, a sought-after spot to read or lounge while it’s grey outside.

Choosing an armchair for a reading nook is an opportunity to express something distinct, aligned to aesthetic of each home. From the inviting rose-pink petals of the Hortensia by Moooi at Clendon Residence, or a buttoned leather wingback 1919 armchair exuding elegance against dark timber panelling at Toorak Residence. While each one is unique, they create a corner warm enough to curl up in.

At Esplanade II Residence, architecture and landscape are in constant conversation.

Textural grey limestone grounds the elevation, a travertine entry marks the arrival, and gardens designed with Nathan Burkett wrap around it - softening lines and capturing water views while maintaining privacy and a sense of retreat.

Elevated above the bay in Brighton, Esplanade II Residence opens like a vitrine – a double-height lobby where the lacquered curve of a Butterfly Console by hannes peer architecture and SEM, sits in conversation with an abstract tufted mirror by Alfhild Kulper. This is a home composed to be added to, lived in and loved over time.

Refined living asks that nothing is incidental. For Esplanade II Residence, the kitchen serves as the social heart of the home, and is designed around the same principle that defines the whole residence — contemporary calm, material restraint, and a life oriented toward the water.

The scullery and pantry are concealed within a walnut veneer joinery volume, with natural stone, and champagne-toned metalwork establishing a composed backdrop beneath an Apparatus pendant.
