A vision brought to life at Levande Hills Showground ✨

Formula Interiors recently completed the design finalisation and construction of the new Levande Hills Showground Display Suite, creating a premium showcase that reflects the quality, lifestyle and experience future residents can expect within the village.

From detailed finishes and bespoke elements to integrated technology and presentation spaces, every aspect was carefully considered to create an engaging and memorable first impression for visitors.

We were thrilled to receive such wonderful feedback from the Levande Development & Design Team, who shared:

Today we say Farewell and Happy Retirement to one of the true legends of our business.

After more than four decades associated with Formula, today marks Carmel's final day with the company. Carmel joined Formula in the early 1980s, not long after the business was established, and has been part of our story for most of its history.

For many of us, it's difficult to imagine the business without her.

What makes Carmel's journey even more special is that Formula was not just where she built an incredible career, it was also where she met her husband, John. Together they built a wonderful family, raising their sons Ben and Chris, while sharing in many of the milestones, challenges and successes that have shaped the company over the years.

Throughout her career, Carmel has embodied everything you hope to find in a team member: loyalty, professionalism, dedication, integrity and an unwavering commitment to helping others. She has been a trusted colleague, mentor, problem solver and friend to countless people who have had the privilege of working alongside her.

The businesses we build are ultimately defined by the people within them, and Carmel has played a significant role in shaping the culture and values that continue to guide us today. Her contribution to our success cannot be measured simply by years of service, but by the positive impact she has had on generations of employees, clients and colleagues.

As if retirement wasn't exciting enough, Carmel also celebrates her 65th birthday in just a couple of weeks, making this an especially significant milestone.

On behalf of everyone at Formula, thank you, Carmel, for your remarkable contribution, friendship and commitment over so many years. We wish you, John, Ben and Chris every happiness for the future and a long, healthy and well-deserved retirement.

We're proud to have delivered the redevelopment of the Level 7 Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) and Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) at Mater Hospital Brisbane.

Completed within a fully operational hospital, this project included the construction of two new Cardiac Cath Laboratories, refurbished patient care areas, upgraded clinical support spaces, and significant building services enhancements—all delivered within a tight program while minimising disruption to hospital operations.

A great result achieved through early collaboration, meticulous planning, and the dedication of everyone involved. Well done to our project team and trade partners on another successful healthcare project.

Some of our staff are heading out to sites today to share these small reminders and take the time to check in with the people around them. In our industry, looking after each other's wellbeing is just as important as delivering great projects.

Transforming Jane Bell House for The Royal Melbourne Hospital 🏥

Formula Interiors recently completed the refurbishment of Jane Bell House, creating modern, functional spaces to support several key RMH teams and operations.

The project brought together a diverse scope across multiple levels, including the transformation of a former PC2 laboratory into a dedicated Pandemic Store, a complete activity-based workplace refurbishment, and new AV and staff facilities.

Highlights included:
✨ Flexible, open-plan workspaces designed for collaboration and hot desking
✨ Feature acoustic panels, ceilings and pendant lighting
✨ Custom joinery, integrated storage and new staff facilities
✨ A secure Pandemic Store with pallet storage and Materials Handling Equipment access
✨ New AV, electrical, mechanical, fire and data services

Delivered within a hospital staff-occupied space, the project required careful staging, coordination and problem-solving to keep the hospital environment safe and operational throughout the works.

We're proud to have delivered the Stage 2 refurbishment of The Corner at the State Library of Queensland — an inspiring public space designed to encourage creativity, learning and play for children and families.

The transformation creates a contemporary, interactive environment that complements and reflects the State Library’s iconic, award-winning design. From bespoke joinery and specialist AV technology to architectural finishes, smart lighting, a striking external canopy and landscaped surrounds, every element contributes to an engaging and immersive visitor experience.

Delivered within a fully operational library, the project required careful planning, staging and collaboration to minimise disruption while maintaining safe public access.

The end of the financial year is always a great opportunity to pause, reflect and celebrate everything we've achieved together.

Our team recently came together for our EOFY lunch, where we enjoyed an incredible feast prepared by our very own Paddy Gladwell. From spit-roasted lamb and smoked chickens to perfectly cooked roast vegetables and plenty of delicious sides, Paddy certainly set the bar high!

A big thank you also to everyone who lent a hand throughout the day — whether you were helping prepare and serve the meal, keeping things running smoothly, or simply volunteering for the very important role of quality control (taste testing!). 😄

Gary also took the opportunity to thank the team for their hard work, commitment and dedication over the past year, while looking ahead with excitement to what the next financial year has in store.

There was a friendly Formula Interiors rivalry on display over the weekend as two of our Sydney team members, Justin Brown and Matthew Bell, lined up on opposite sides of the rugby field.

What began as a regular weekend fixture quickly became a battle for bragging rights, with both determined to prove their team was the better side. There were plenty of big hits, great plays and, of course, no shortage of friendly banter before, during and after the final whistle.

While there may never be agreement on who had the better game, one thing is certain – both represented themselves and their teams with pride and returned to work (mostly) in one piece! It’s always great to see our team pursuing their passions outside the workplace, and it was fantastic to have fellow Formula supporters on the sidelines cheering them on.

Congratulations to both Justin and Matthew on a great game. We have no doubt the debate over who really came out on top will continue around the office for weeks to come… and we’re looking forward to the rematch!
