This week, DPA CEO Jai Edwards swapped the office for a battery installation and headed to the beautiful hills of Strath Creek, Victoria, to spend some time with the Solargenic team.

The project featured one of the first installations of the DPA PowerStore 32, combining a Deye 10kW Hybrid Inverter with 32kWh of Discover Energy Systems Helios battery storage and premium blackout circuit protection.

Reflecting on the visit, Jai said:

“Solargenic has been operating for only 17 months and has already grown to a team of nine full-time staff. Seeing Emil, Taylah and the team in action, it’s easy to understand how they’ve achieved that growth.

One thing that immediately stood out was the attention to detail. Emil genuinely cares about the outcome and making sure the customer gets the best possible result. That’s the sort of thing homeowners notice and remember long after the installation is complete.

It was also great to have Leila Playmore on site supporting the project. Most people in our industry know Leila, and seeing her working alongside the Solargenic team was a great reminder that successful projects are built on strong partnerships.

What also stood out was how well the DPA PowerStore 32 aligned with the homeowner’s future plans. While much of the industry was unpacking from SEIA VIC, Gareth Thomas and Jeff Hammon were on the ground at SNEC Shanghai – one of the world’s largest solar and energy storage exhibitions.

Events like SNEC provide an opportunity to see emerging technologies, manufacturing trends and market developments long before they reach Australia.

For DPA, these visits aren’t simply about finding new products. They’re about understanding what’s next and identifying opportunities that may benefit our customers and partners in the years ahead.

PowerPlus Energy has launched a new Whispr installer incentive campaign that rewards eligible installers through a tiered rewards structure.

The campaign includes:

• $50 fuel card rewards based on qualifying Whispr installations
• Additional milestone rewards, including $100 fuel cards
• Bonus prizes for top-performing installers during the campaign

With Jai Edwards stepping into the role of CEO, we’re also announcing a shift in Richard Barker’s role.

Since founding DPA in 2009, Richard has built the business around a simple idea: 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿. 𝗔𝗻𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

As DPA has grown, so has the need to evolve how the business is led.

Richard is now stepping into the role of 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 – bringing him closer to the field, working alongside installers and partners, shaping systems early, and helping drive more projects into action.

With that shift, 𝗝𝗮𝗶 𝗘𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 steps in as CEO.

Jai brings a strong focus on relationships and a clear vision for making DPA easier to work with — improving systems, reducing friction, and strengthening how the business operates day-to-day.
