Three townhouses. Three individual designs. One cohesive streetscape.

Who says townhouse developments all need to look the same?

This development challenges the traditional townhouse approach, with three distinctly different façades bringing their own character and architectural style to the streetscape.

Through a mix of materials, rooflines, colours and architectural details, each residence has its own identity, while still creating a sense of connection across the development.

A great example of how thoughtful design can bring individuality to multi-residential living.

And even better to see the finished project recognised at the 2026 HIA Northern NSW Housing Awards, with Joyce Constructions taking home two awards - Townhouse Development and Townhouse of the Year.

Designing with the site, not against it.

A sloping site and northern orientation to the side boundary presented an opportunity to let the site help shape the design.

By tiering the home with the natural fall of the land, we created a seamless relationship between the living spaces, rear yard and pool, while maximising natural light and indoor–outdoor living.

An extra-wide central hallway brings it all together, creating a beautiful sense of openness and flow throughout the home.

But the most rewarding part? Hearing how thrilled our clients are with the finished result when we returned to photograph their home.

How quickly can a building take shape?

Two Collins W Collins projects are taking shape back-to-back in the new Thrumster Business Park, both using concrete tilt panel construction.

Manufactured off-site, delivered and lifted into position, tilt panels help streamline construction and get the main structure up quickly.

And as these two projects show, one construction method doesn't mean one design. Different materials, finishes and design details give each development its own identity.

Making more of what’s already there.

Three new dwellings were designed to the rear of an existing unit development, making use of the previously undeveloped portion of the site.

Rather than treating the site as finished, the design explored how the existing development could evolve to accommodate more homes.
