🌳 Upcoming tree maintenance works

Council has engaged contractor, Woodvale Tree Services to carry out tree removals at several locations in Port Macquarie next week.

The works form part of Council’s ongoing maintenance program to protect infrastructure and maintain safe visibility for road users and pedestrians.

Works are scheduled for:

📍 Wednesday 9 September 2026
• Stewart Street, near Port Public School (Clarence Street): 6.30am-10am
• 70 Pacific Drive: From 10.30am

📍 Thursday 10 September
• Tuppeny Lane, including Pacific Drive near the top of the bank: 6.30am-3pm
• Pacific Drive, opposite Flynn’s Beach Resort: 3pm-4pm

Traffic control will be in place while works are underway to safely manage vehicles and pedestrians around the work areas.

Please allow extra time for your journey and follow the directions of traffic controllers.

After 30 years in the Arborist industry, although I’m no longer on the tools every day, I still love the diversity, the challenges, and the ever-changing landscape we work within.

Today, Simeon was operating our EWP while carrying out work for our Port Macquarie Hastings Council contract, helping prepare the palm tree at Port Central to be Yarn Bombed! Looks like he also had a special request to take his passenger right to the top for a bird’s-eye view over Port Macquarie.
