A big project underway in Gympie! We are still holding out hope of finding gold as we dig deeper 🤭

We’re currently converting a shed over to town sewer on a very sloping site — and there’s plenty involved to get the job done properly.

One of the biggest parts of the project has been installing a new pump well system, which you can see being prepped for install.

The works include:

🔹 Supplying and installing new sanitary plumbing to the shed
🔹 Installing drainage from the fixtures
🔹 Connecting the sewer lines to the new pump well
🔹 Installing a rising main to the new sewer connection
🔹 Running a poly water line from the water meter across to the shed
🔹 Carrying out leak testing and arranging the required plumbing inspections with council

With the site being so steep, we’re also taking care of all the excavation work ourselves. It’s a great example of the larger-scale plumbing, drainage and excavation projects we can take on from start to finish.

How do you know when it is time to replace your current system?

🟤 Septic System

A traditional septic system works by allowing solids to settle in a tank, with wastewater then dispersing through an approved absorption area.

A septic system may be suitable when:
✔️ You have enough suitable land for an absorption area
✔️ Soil conditions allow effective wastewater dispersal
✔️ The property meets current approval requirements
✔️ A traditional, lower-maintenance system is appropriate for the site

🟢 Wastewater Treatment Plant

A wastewater treatment plant provides a higher level of wastewater treatment by using biological processes before treated water is dispersed through an approved system.
