👀 B: Whoever finds it empty
😂 C: Nobody… we just put the new roll on top
😈 D: I leave one sheet so technically it’s not empty

🚽 Plumbing Fact Wednesday 🚽

“Flushable” does not always mean friendly to your drains.

Unlike toilet paper, many wipes do not break down quickly. They can catch in pipes, combine with fats and solids, and contribute to blockages.

The safest rule is simple: only the 3 Ps go down the toilet - p*e, poo and toilet paper. Wipes go in the bin.

💧 Plumbing Fact 💧

Stormwater and sewerage are two separate systems.

Stormwater carries rain from roofs, driveways, roads and outdoor drains toward local waterways.
Sewerage carries wastewater from toilets, bathrooms, kitchens and laundries for treatment.

That’s why only rain should enter stormwater drains, anything else can end up in our creeks and waterways.

Small choices at home help protect the places we all share

🔧 Maintenance Monday 🔧

Late winter is the perfect time for a quick ground-level stormwater check before spring weather arrives.

Walk around your property and clear leaves or debris from visible grates, pits and downpipe openings. Look for pooling, cracked grates or areas where water cannot flow freely.

Keep it safely at ground level, leave roof gutters and any repairs to the right professionals.

A few minutes now can help your drainage system do its job when the rain returns.
