Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
Picton Civil is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team, working across both field service and workshop environments.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on mechanic who enjoys variety and working on a broad range of earthmoving, heavy vehicle and road transport equipment, while still being home every night.

The Role
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of earthmoving, heavy vehicle and road transport equipment.
The role will involve a combination of field service and workshop-based repairs, providing plenty of variety and keeping every day different.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds relevant trade qualifications
• Has strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical diagnostic skills
• Can confidently work independently and as part of a team
• Takes pride in quality workmanship and getting the job done right
• Has a strong commitment to safety
• Holds a current driver's licence
• Is reliable, punctual and willing to work overtime when required

Picton Civil is looking for an experienced Drainer to join our growing team.

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable civil drainer with solid experience across watermain, sewer and stormwater works.

About the role
• Install and maintain watermain, sewer and stormwater infrastructure
• Read and understand construction drawings and plans
• Set out works and establish grades
• Set and check laser levels
• Install pipes, pits, manholes and associated drainage infrastructure
• Carry out excavation and trenching works
• Work efficiently and safely as part of a team
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard

About you
• Proven experience as a Civil Drainer
• Strong experience in watermain, sewer and stormwater
• Confident reading and understanding drawings
• Experienced with setting and checking laser levels
• Good understanding of levels, grades and drainage installation
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-focused
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

Picton Civil is seeking an experienced Full Time Surveyor to join our growing team working across major civil earthworks and infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled surveyor with strong experience in civil construction, earthworks and machine control systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Construction set-out for civil earthworks and infrastructure projects
• GPS and total station surveying for bulk earthworks, roads, drainage and services
• Preparing and managing machine control models and designs
• Uploading and maintaining machine control files for excavators, graders and dozers
• Conducting as-constructed surveys and producing survey reports
• Volume calculations and quantity tracking
• Survey QA checks to ensure compliance with design tolerances
• Liaising with project managers, supervisors and machine operators
• Maintaining survey equipment and calibration records
• Interpreting engineering drawings and digital terrain models

Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in civil construction surveying
• Strong knowledge of machine guidance and machine control systems
• Experience with GPS, robotic total stations and survey software
• Ability to work independently and within project teams
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Current driver’s licence
• Relevant surveying qualifications
