I really enjoy working with smaller builders.

There's something different about a boutique build.

The builder knows the client.

The client cares about the details.

Everyone is invested in the finished product.

And that's the sort of work I enjoy being part of.

I want to be the electrician who:

✔ Communicates
✔ Turns up
✔ Thinks ahead
✔ Solves problems
✔ Takes pride in the finish
✔ Doesn't need to be chased

Because we're all working towards the same thing:

A bloody good finished home and a happy client.

That's a partnership I'd rather build than just another job.

After 20 years, you start to notice the little things.

The alignment.

The positioning.

The cable management.

The labelling.

The finish.

The details that most people will never notice.

And that's actually the point.

Good electrical work shouldn't scream for attention.

It should just work.

It should be safe.

It should look right.

It should make sense.

And it should still make you happy with the job when you look at it years later.

That's my standard.

I'm a big believer in making homes more energy efficient.

But it's not just about looking at the power bill.

It's about building a home that's smarter for the long term.

Efficient lighting.

Smarter electrical solutions.

Solar and battery integration.

EV charging.

Better ways of using the energy your home already has.

Small changes can make a big difference to how a home operates.

And I love being able to give people practical options rather than just telling them what they “need”.

My job is to help you understand the options and find what actually makes sense for your home.

Everyone has their own way of doing things. This is mine.

Be upfront.

Be honest.

Turn up when I say I will.

Explain what I'm doing.

Give people options.

And if there's a better way to do something, I'll tell you.

I don't believe in doing electrical work just because “that's how it's always been done.”

Homes are changing. Technology is changing. The way we live is changing.

So the electrical work should change with it.

Good electrical work isn't just about making something work. It's about finding the right solution for the way you live.

That's the bit I enjoy.

20 years in, and I still love being an electrician.

Not because I love crawling through roof spaces in the middle of summer. 😂

It’s because I get to make things better.

I get to walk into a home with a problem and find a solution.

I get to see a renovation go from plans and bare walls to a finished space.

I get to watch the right lighting completely change a room.

And I get to help people make their homes more comfortable, practical and energy efficient.

But probably the biggest thing for me is knowing I've done the job properly.

No shortcuts. No cutting corners. Just good work that I'm proud to put my name to.

That's what keeps me enjoying the trade after all these years.
