DRAIN REPAIR
Following up from our last post about the fence contractor damaging the drain and filling it with concrete over the Christmas period, this is what we found once we had located and dug up the drain 😅

WELCOME 2024 🎆
We start off the first job of the year with a badly blocked drain.
The fencing contractor installing the new pool fence over the Christmas period happened to hit the sewer line with the jackhammer and then filled it with concrete. 😅

CHRISTMAS PLUMBING GRINCH 🎅
There must be a Christmas plumbing Grinch roaming the streets of Perth this year! Someone has been stealing the brass meter tails and copper pipes from water meters all throughout Perth, we have completed 16 repairs throughout the last week from Gosnells to Joondalup.

BURST PIPES

Using our Leak Detection gear we managed to locate and repair this burst cold water pipe in the Shower.
This particular pipe had burst as it had been held in place with nails causing it to rub and split over time. 🚿 💧

HEAT PUMP HOT WATER SYSTEMS.
A heat pump uses renewable energy to heat your water, without the need for solar panels. They absorb the heat from the surrounding air and use it to heat your water. Therefore, these systems are also referred to as 'air-source heat pumps'. They can save money and energy while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. 🚿 🛁

BLOCKED DRAINS.
Always be mindful when planting new plants/trees to the location of your drains.
The most common drain blockages we come across is tree roots finding a way into the drain and causing it to block.

These guys unfortunately found the location of their drains the hard way! We were called to investigate the badly blocked drains and found a star picket had been hammered into the drain while planting the new Frangipanis. 🌳 🌸 🚽

Another outdoor bath installation completed in Bedfordale a few weeks ago. The client had no room inside the house to fit a bath so she decided to put one on her deck outside the master bedroom. 🛁

Whoooooops! Looks like the plumber forgot to glue a fitting under the toilet during construction of this house.
The house was only a year old and that tree root had already made its way into the drain. 😅 🌲 🚽

BLOCKAGES 🚽
This is a perfect example of the most common cause of drain blockages we come across.
Tree roots have found their way into the pipe through a join.
In this instance we used the Camera and Jetter to locate and clear the blockage. 🌲 💩
