We are after a gardening/landscaping hand that has plenty of experience within the gardening industry. Must know their way around the garden and power tools like cylinder mowers, verti mowers, ride on lawn mowers, chain saws, stihl Kombi attachments etc.
You must have your own car to get to work and has had experience in driving large vans with trailers, this includes reversing with a trailer on as we tow quite often and need to back up into drives etc.
We also do landscaping work so it would be handy if you have had a few years experience in this field too but we mainly do garden maintenance on a regular basis.
We specialise in lawn care and we are passionate about it so you have got to be into your lawn and know how to care for it…the tasks in all seasons will include cutting the grass at the right height for the profile at certain times of the year - edge whip blow and mow, cylinder mow, Vertimowing/scarification, coring, feeding, so you must know types of grass in depth.
We cover all aspects of the gardening industry so knowing plants is another big one for us as we plant them and care for them, treating them for pests / infections, pruning and trimming is something we have to know being Gardeners from a clients point of view.
Other tasks : Weeding, mulching, Retic, soil amendments, waste management, tip runs.
We are after someone like you that rocks up on a Monday through to Friday. If you want time off no stress just give me 2weeks notice. You have at least ⅔years of professional gardening training within your background. Can see what needs to be done on a job just from looking around and get on with it straight away.
So if you can think for yourself and don’t mind getting your hands dirty (we obviously provide full ppe), can do a days work on the tools, can bring food and water with you to keep replenished throughout a day get in touch and we will look after you well.
Generally have 15/30min brake mid morning between jobs & 30mins around lunchtime.
If you are able to run a van with another member of staff, complete jobs with your skills with no call backs I’ll happily pay more than $30inclusive of super but I have to see that first.
First week will be at $25inclusive of super to show me your worth and if you show us your more than capable to get on with the JMF Home & Garden standards you will be rewarded well above awards.
If you have horticulture qualifications or landscaping qualifications great send them over.
I don’t actually need a fully qualified or certified horticultural or landscaping trained candidates, I just need experience and knowledge that you would have picked up along the way doing this line of work for a few years and I’ll be able to see that on your first day.
This position for you must come second nature to you. Please come and show me your work ethics, efficiency with your gardening background.
Who wants to be on their hands and knees any longer than they have to be right? Get in get it done and go home no messing about, we don’t drag jobs on and always want to show the clients our efficiency - efficiency comes with experience and of course we will show you the JMF Home & Garden way and train you to how we normally do things. You might even teach us something we don’t know. Works both ways.
The usual weekdays start @ 6:45am get to first job for 7am and done by around 3 sometimes sooner or later depending how much we have the energy for as some jobs are draining and I’m not one for pushing on tired and overdoing it.
I’m a easy going boss 31years of age with a small family from England now a Australian citizen loving life over here with working outside in this lovely country perfecting gardens. I just want to get along with staff and cruise through a day and have a laugh throughout it.
We work for some pretty high end clients so we aim for perfection and standers are very high so you must have the eye for detail, fussy and proud in your work. You show me this and you WILL get bonuses but I need to see your quality’s before that.
