The finished home gets the attention.
But this is where it really starts. 👷‍♂️

Before the beautiful kitchen, soaring ceilings and those statement lights, there’s excavation, site prep, services and a crew getting the foundations right.

It might not be the Instagram-worthy part of a build…
but it’s one of the most important.

Because good building is a sequence.

Each stage supports the next.
Each detail matters.
And you can’t create a quality finish by cutting corners at the beginning.

The polished spaces you see at the end are simply the result of doing the work properly all the way through.

Our crew. Our work. Our standards.

And yep, we’re pretty proud of all three. 🙌

Brick supply is back in the headlines in WA.

Midland Brick has announced changes to how brick volumes and delivery timeframes will be allocated, as demand continues to exceed current production capacity.

For homeowners, it’s another reminder that how we build matters.
Brick is a familiar part of Perth homes, but it’s not the only construction method available.
Different building systems and materials can influence thermal comfort, energy efficiency, moisture management and how a home performs long term.

The takeaway? Don’t just ask what your home will look like.
Ask how it’s going to be built and why those materials have been chosen.
Good planning starts long before the finishes go in. 🏡

Turns out, loving what you do makes the hard work a bit more fun. 👷‍♂️
There’s plenty that goes into building a home properly.

Early starts.
Big days.
Problem solving.
And a fair bit of banter along the way.

But underneath all of that, we genuinely love building.

Especially when it means creating healthier, more comfortable homes for Perth families that are designed to perform for years to come.

We take the work seriously.

Ourselves? Maybe slightly less seriously. 😂

Because a good building experience isn’t just about the finished home.
It’s about having a team you actually enjoy building it with.

That’s the Perway way. 🏡

Think double brick automatically means a better home? 👀

That’s an assumption we hear a LOT in WA.
But the material your walls are made from is only part of the story.

What really matters is how the whole building envelope is designed and put together.

On this timber-framed build, that means thinking carefully about:

✔️ Insulation
✔️ High-performance sarking and membranes
✔️ Taped and sealed joins
✔️ Double-glazed windows
✔️ How air and moisture move through the building

And that sarking behind the walls?
It’s not just there for decoration. 😉

The membrane forms part of the protective layer around the home. The product you choose, and importantly, how it’s installed and sealed, contributes to how the building envelope performs.

Think of it like wrapping the house in a good jacket.

It’s not about making one part thicker and hoping for the best.
It’s about getting all the layers working together.

That’s why instead of simply asking:
“Timber or double brick?”

A better question is:
“How has this home been designed to perform?”

Because a high-performing home isn’t about one material.

It’s about the whole system. 🏡

It’s easy to get excited about the finished stuff.

The kitchen.
The floors.
The beautiful details you’ll eventually see every day.

But a quality home?
That starts long before any of that.

It starts here.
With the prep. The levels. The pour. And a crew who gives a damn about getting it right.

Because once the walls go up, most of this work disappears.
But its impact doesn’t.

Every stage underneath the finished home plays a part in how it performs for years to come.

That’s why we’re incredibly proud of our crew.
They know the little details aren’t little when you’re building someone’s home.
The fancy stuff can come later. First, we get the foundations right. 🏡

Meet the people behind your build. 👋

Building or renovating is a big decision, and it helps to know who you're trusting with your home.

Andy is our Director and builder, on site and hands on. Louise is our General Manager, keeping the planning, the numbers and the communication on track. Together with our team, we build healthier, more comfortable homes on Passive House principles, and we explain every step along the way.

Planning a renovation? Start with a conversation. Send us a message or tap the link in our bio.

The best builds feel calm before they ever look impressive.
That doesn’t happen by accident.

Before the tools come out, there are conversations to have, decisions to make and details to lock in.
Because a solid plan means you know what’s happening, what’s coming next, and why.

And when everyone is working from the same page?

Less guesswork.
Fewer surprises.
A much smoother build.

At Perway, we’re big believers that the experience of building your home should feel just as considered as the home itself.

No winging it. No “she’ll be right”. 😉

Just good planning, clear communication and a team committed to getting it right.

That’s how dream homes go from an idea… to an actual address.

Sometimes it’s the little notifications that make your day. 💚

We recently got this one from Google…
One of our photos had hit 10,000 views.

10,000 people potentially discovering our work from one simple photo. Pretty wild when you think about it.

For a small business like Perway, Google reviews really do matter.

They help people find us.
They build trust before we’ve even had a chat.
And when you add photos, you’re giving people a real look at the work behind the review.

So to everyone who’s left us a review, uploaded a photo or recommended our little building business…

Thank you. 🙏

Those few minutes of your time can give a small business a much bigger reach than you realise.

The best time to involve your builder? Earlier than you think. 👀

One of the smartest things you can do when planning a renovation or new build is bring your builder into the conversation early.

Not when every decision has already been made.

Not when the drawings are finished.

Early.

Why?

Because a builder looks at your plans through a different lens.

We’re thinking about how it will actually be built, what could cause headaches on site, and where smarter decisions now could potentially save you **thousands later**.

Your architect or designer brings their expertise.

Your builder brings theirs.

And when everyone works together from the beginning? That’s when good ideas can become **great, buildable ones.** 🏡

A little planning upfront can mean fewer surprises, better decisions and a much smoother building journey.
