Garden Solutions is a Perth based landscape business. We're seeking staff, both junior & experienced. We work mostly in the western suburbs but also in the hills from Kalamunda to Roleystone. Experience is preferred but not essential. We are happy to offer traineeship/apprenticeship where appropriate.

I was lucky enough to get an invite to the launch of the WA Tree Festival yesterday, at the glorious King's Park. This a fantastic WALGA initiative & I strongly encourage everyone to have a look at the website.
Perth is desperately short of canopy cover we can all do our bit by planting more trees!

Includes a Dwarf Red Shatoot Mulberry, beautiful native Eremophilas & some seriously spectacular moss rocks, all set off by Redcor Corten steel. Drip irrigation to the verge trees ensures their long-term health, so they'll provide cooling shade for decades to come!

This is a Raphiolepis Snow Maiden, a very popular landscape plan, growing in my garden. It's tough, adaptable, and a very good-looking plant. What it isn't, contrary to popular opinion, is a small grower. I've heard/seen it described as a compact shrub to 50cm tall and wide or as an upright shrub to 1m. My one is over 2m tall & sprawly. I prune it, hard, every 2 years. 😬

We've been trialing these super smart irrigation innovations at our small potted tree farm. They're called NetBow from & they're working brilliantly. They apply water slowly, at multiple pots on the pot surface & allow the root ball to be thoroughly wet in a water wise fashion. Highly recommended for anyone growing their plants in pots 👌

My beautiful Leopard Tree (Caesalpinia ferra) is in full flower. It also has gorgeous mottled bark. Very hardy, tall & slender tree.

Alyogne huegelii "West Coast Gem", a beautiful, hardy native shrub. Long flowering, lush dark green foliage. Grows to 1.8m tall but can be pruned to keep smaller.
