Beyond Standard Supply: Customised Concrete Cutting Equipment 💪
What happens when standard cutting equipment doesn't meet the job requirements? At Taman Diamond Tool Solutions, we adapt it.
Our customer needed to complete over 1,000 metres of overhead concrete cutting in a confined space, a confined space, with an 8mm-wide cut instead of the standard 3mm. Other local suppliers weren't prepared to carry out these modifications while maintaining warranty coverage. Taman's team stepped in to develop a solution tailored to the customer's requirements.
The challenge?
🔹 Limited clearance: The wall saw and blade guard had to fit beneath existing services on site, with an overall height of less than 650mm.
🔹 Wider cuts: The project required an 8mm-wide cut instead of the standard 3mm.
🔹 Slurry management: Concrete slurry needed to drain effectively during overhead cutting.
How did we solve it? We customised the blade guard on a WEKA 76H wall saw to:
✅ Reduce its height to less than 650mm to fit beneath existing services.
✅ Accommodate a thick segmented blade, commonly known as a loop blade, to achieve the required 8mm cut.
✅ Incorporate drainage holes to allow concrete slurry to escape efficiently.
As a result, our customer received a purpose-modified cutting setup engineered to meet their specific project requirements.
