Today is World Mental Health Day. As we recognise National Safe Work Month throughout October, it's also an important reminder that a safe and healthy workplace includes looking after our mental health and wellbeing. Start a Conversation 💬

This week, our team took on the challenge to “Start a Conversation” by talking about why health and safety matters and identified ways to make work safer and healthier.

When asked, "What does getting home safely mean to you?", the responses were simple but powerful:
- Arrive home happy, healthy and uninjured
- Ensure our colleagues go home safely
- Be there for our families and loved ones

These discussions highlighted key workplace risks. These risks are not just physical risks, but psychosocial. These include:
- Mobile plant associated risk
- Complacency
- Stress

As a result, our team members have committed to:
🚫 No Mobile When Mobile
🚜 Increased awareness of speed limits and plant operations
📖 Better use of work instructions and procedures

These conversations remind us that safety is more than compliance. It's about looking out for each other and making sure everyone gets home safe every day. The team will rejoin in two weeks to discuss what impact they have felt from having those conversations and keeping each other accountable.

Circling back to Day 1 at Land Forces 2026.

A great start to what promises to be a big few days for the Australian Defence industry. We’re proud to be representing Trident Australia alongside an impressive group of Western Australian companies on the Defence West stand.

Day 1 was all about conversations — catching up with existing partners and industry colleagues, meeting new people and talking about where Trident can support Defence through our capabilities in fluid transfer, asset integrity, testing, engineering, fabrication and sustainment.

It was also great to see the strength of the WA defence ecosystem on display.

A big thank you to the Defence West team for bringing everyone together and creating a fantastic platform for WA industry.

Day 1 done. Plenty more to come.

That’s a wrap on our SolarAid 20th Birthday fundraising at Trident! ☀️

Throughout September, our team took part in a few different fundraising initiatives, including our lolly jar guessing competition, raffle and chocolate sales. Together, we raised $580.55, with all funds going directly to SolarAid to support their work bringing clean, safe and affordable solar light to communities without reliable access to electricity.
